does any other terminal close outbound dock at 800 no matter if city frieght is moves or not.sometimes our fos say we got to go and we leave our city frieght for our fac which by the way some misses servi:1036316054:ce

Monday is the no late day ,so it mostly happens then . sometimes it can happen tuesday wednesday or thursday. Friday is move it all day even if no backup.

if freight is pick-up after a cut off time can/will sit until the next day.except on Friday when all freight must move.

They hold the freight (if it gets back late) and run to the CSR b4 it is billed. Brutus is correct.

I remember sitting at home not running because they did not move freight. I survived and so will all the other DSR's. Do not over extend yourself and SAVE MONEY!!!!!

I really don't want to hijack a thread, but companyclown has made this point in his posts alot. I really do find it annoying when people that run line go back to city and ***** about how they make less money. I always say they should live within their means. Maybe you don't need a $40,000 motorcycle. Maybe the tahiti trip can wait a year. Do you want a life, or do you wan't money? I don't have kids and am still realitivly young, or so they tell me. If it were diferent circumstances, I would probably value hometime over money.

There is a chance that some of these people were forced back into the city (no it did not happen to me). Maybe you should try to consider that before you get mad at them.

People need to live within their means. Figure on 40 hours per week. Plan your household budget for that. I've seen way to many people get into that big money comfort zone only to have that rug pulled out from under them and then complain about how they're getting screwed. I was one of those people about 12 years ago when they decided to get rid of my big money lay-over and go to much shorter meet & turns. I learned my lesson!

I suppose there is a chance that can happen, although it seems unlikely. The ones I am talking about just did it on their own though. I do know of one guy that didn't actually get bumped off line, just got lowered. He ended up working the dock more often then not. He had to decide if he was okay with that or not. Last I heard, that person is now at Old Dominion. Nice guy, and he really didn't complain too much about it. The point is, people need to count on 40 hours, eveything else is just icing on the cake, or so they say.

Our terminal will put pups to the fence many times and not move them for a day two. Sometimes it's due to the time us city guys get in with it. Sometimes it's due to the number of runs linehaul gives us and the number of drivers we have available. Either way it's really not a win win situation for our customers.
