Yellow | Are they for real?

damn right Im worried about my own ass-and trying to make sure out of anger others dont give their own bare asses to the competition and make a mistake theyll regret.

Bull Your worried about your own arse, nothing more. You've shown your colors as far as I'm concerned.

ya know, I have nothing against anyone who votes different then i do, thats there right! But what really disturbs me is, why when you start talking about how your going to vote, and they find out your voting NO, they start arguing with you! calling you names, telling you to quit! and the longer the conversation goes on, the louder they get! whats with that??? that is what inspired me to write down the profile of the yes voters. granted, number 10 was put in there for a few laughs! but in reality, you can really tell whos going to vote yes by that chart! and i can tell you, the ones that get the loudest are in order of loudest first, #7...#3.....#1

since i posted it on not bluffing, here it is

profile of those who are voting yes.

1 ) high up on the seniority list enough to get the bid he wants, and usually has a steady run and probably a assigned truck.
2 ) only has a couple of years left till retiring.
3 ) too fat or out of shape to be hired by another trucking company other then otr
4 ) has accidents on his record
5 ) has pissed dirty or has a past dwi
6 ) has burned all his bridges to any other trucking company in the area
7 ) he, or a member of his family covered by his insurance, has now or has had in the past a life threatening illness.
8 ) lives in boonies and this is the only trucking company around for miles and miles.
9 ) has aspergers or some other mentally handicapping condition that makes them afraid of change
10 ) his wife told him he had to vote yes

my mistake-long day. some of you are being paaid to stir up no votes by other compnaies, you know who you are-Im trying to save good men from destroying their lives.

Who is paying you to stir up votes in the opposite direction? "Team Guy"?

nobody pays me-i see a LOT of anger which is righteous-but now is not the time to kill yellow. It may feel good to vote no until the reality sets in and the anger becomes fear and depression.

Don't worry you can go to truck driving school and drive otr for a while.

:LMAO: Let me say it again...Your own..Nothing More... Go home troll you have no credibility.

ROFL.

Teamguy, you need to start working from a better script. I love the "emotional appeal" you have been spewing for 2 days. Seems you don't care to discuss the facts of the agreement, you just want to try and scare Teamsters into a Yes vote. Hmmm, Sounds like one of the Terminal Meetings doesn't it guys?

:hide: Im scared, still voting no :bananapartyhat:

I am NOT going to try to convince anyone to vote one way or the other. However, I would ask that everyone VOTE ! Gather all the info you can. Vote the way your conscience tells you. I have a very good idea as to which way I am voting, but I have not shut the door. IF, and I do mean IF, someone can convince me that my position is incorrect, I will reconsider. I have bills, plans for the future, as well as all the hopes and dreams that most everyone else has. I'm no different than the vast majority of all those affected by this situation. I just think it extremely unfair to ones self if you make a decision based only on feelings of anger or disdain for the company.
Make no mistake, I have been jerked around also. I really have no love for the company, or the clowns that got us into this position, but..... I still feel the need to gather as much info as possible, sort through it, and then decide. Please, don't "just vote". Gather all the info you can, decide if it's the truth or not as best that you can, weigh the pros and cons, THEN vote !!! Let your voice be heard loud and clear. If this vote puts me out the door, so be it. I will survive, of that, I have no doubt. It will not be pleasant, but, I'm prepared for that eventuality. I will decide for certain only after I have as much info as I can possibly gather. I truly hope everyone does the same. God bless. Remember... vote !!!

is that how you make a living trying to stir up yes votes . you have your hands full and will be fired for not doing your job when the no votes pull this out for you

In light of the newly proposed “agreement” between YRCW and our union. I am writing this not only to recommend, but PLEAD with you. Don’t even consider this proposal. VOTE NO! This union has negotiated for themselves once again. You should certainly not be happy with the simple fact that they would bring something like this to us for a vote. This agreement clearly benefits nobody but the company and the union. They are asking you to give up the basic principles our union was founded on. Give back things that our fathers and generations of our “brothers” fought for. It is OUR turn!!! Yours and mine, all of us. Stand up for yourself, stand up for your rights. Do you really want to work 100 years for a 25 year pension? Are you really going to give back in wages than received in raises over roughly the last 10 years? Are you really going to vote yourself into a position to watch inflation put you farther behind, for 4 more years? I BEG YOU NOT TO, VOTE NO!!! You stand to gain nothing if it passes. The time has arrived for the MEMBERS to be heard. It is time for us to tell our officials, “Although you are willing to tuck your tail, and give away all of OUR benefits, WE ARE NOT! Don’t you “brothers” want to retire someday? Or are we looking to work ourselves into a pine box? If you do want to retire, you should consider your future brother too. Just like our brothers before us, who fought for what you have now. You should not only want to keep those rights, but preserve them for future Teamster brothers. Don’t be fooled by Tyson Johnson’s statements. Are you not tired of YOUR union bringing the threat of “closed doors” to you? I thought they were supposed to be bargaining for US. PLEASE!!! If they won’t we have to. Let your voice be heard. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF! Don’t fold our union like a bunch of cowards. VOTE NO!!! Or blame yourselves for working into your 70’s or 80’s or later. Please keep in mind that I really only elaborated on 1 point here. Take a good look at what it is that they want you to give up (wages, vacation, and job assignments/categories)! EVERYTHING! I challenge you to find anything in this agreement that benefits YOU. Do any of you think that 25% of the benefits that we had are fair? Does anybody remember, “No more givebacks, this will make YRC a viable company, we need your help”, from a year and a half ago? Yet here we are again. DON’T BE A FOOL. VOTE NO!!! Don’t you think they will be back in 2015 with yet another web they weaved, asking for more from you? Or not wanting to contribute to your pension. Don’t you??? WE HAD BETTER STAND UP AND GET WHAT WE HAVE COMING, OR BLAME OURSELVES FOR THE CONSEQUENCES! VOTE NO!!! PLEASE!!! We will all benefit for it in the long run. Even if it is only to be able to say that we did not go to the poorhouse while the company and our union live the great life. You should pat yourself on the back for a job well done with a NO VOTE! Way to go. I think I have given you enough to think about, except for what you should vote, NO! Let me end this by saying that you can rest assured that you will not be the only one VOTING NO. I have faith in my brothers in Local 710 that we will vote this down. Look at the records, 3 chances for us to vote, at least. The results, majority NO. Way to go guys! This time you can all stand with us. I surely hope that you do.
AN ASHAMED (BUT STILL TRYING TO STAND UP FOR HIMSELF) TEAMSTER BROTHER
MARK THOMPSON MEMBER-LOCAL 710-CHICAGO
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO GO THAT EXTRA MILE, AND SEND COPIES ALONG TO THE OTHER TERMINALS. ONCE AGAIN, TO OUR BENEFIT. THANKS.
Hey Thompson! Still no reply from my comment on page 4! You windbag!

Mark did you listen to the teleconference tonight? There is no plan B! Roadking is right there is nothing better out there we know 1st hand hubby was laid off for over 6 months.

Do you think they would say oh yes we have a PLAN B come on use your head

Get used to reading that line. I will be using it every time someone tells us no voters that we should quit. Would you rather me use $16.00 per hour as an example? But, I stand by the whole point of my post. If $16.00 per hour is ok with you yes men, you should do the rest of us a favor and go to one of the other carriers that pay the $16.00 per hour because there are lots of them out there. But, there aren't many $20.00 per hour out there, so it would be harder for us to just walk away and find one. So we choose to fight to keep what we have fought for.
What is it that you are fighting for now? Unemployment? If YRC closes the doors you won't be keeping anything, including your pension. I fail to understand why anyone would think the company is bluffing. trust me, all of upper management has more than enough money to survive closing the doors. How many of us can say the same thing?

I can. Still voting :452:

Hey Thompson! Still no reply from my comment on page 4! You windbag!

To be honest, no I was not going to reply to that garbage. But...If this is the spotter I was talking to, I beleive his name was Steve("wildbean") this is the way I remember the conversation. "My name is Mark Thompson, I work at 309. I was wondering if you could tell me the sentiment around your dock concerning our proposed agreement?" Pretty much the same way I started at the other terminals I was at(gladly list them if you REALLY interested). Then I listened to what you had to say. I dont recall any bad-mouthing. You said "I am kinda torn right now, but we are not getting any info." I told you I was sorry to hear you felt that way, expreesed my feeling, and asked you if you would take the above posted letter and take a good look at what we are giving up before you vote. You took it, glad to see you read it, thanks. Is that not the way you remember it? Then, the car is a 2005 that I put over 1300 miles on spreading what I beleive to be right. Sooo...I think its road worthy. Gone are the days of riding the Harley, or riding with the top down of my 06 mustang. Thanks to the givebacks and layoffs(who knows when your turn may come). AND....obviously you are going to buy into this bs YRC is force feeding you. Is it because thay have on a button up shirt? Im a worker, going to see workers. I just got off at 8am and you were not my first stop that day. Had I know that if I prettied myself up, you would eat I big ::shit:: burger(like that proposal). I certainly would of done that, just for you. Anyway, I know I looked you in the face and told you how I feel. You looked me in the eye and told me you were torn and then attack me on the web. You are just the type of coward that I am talking about in that letter. There, does that make you feel any better? I replied to your bs. If this is not Steve, I apologize to you. Please, feel free to tell me who you are "wildbean" if I am misstaken with who I THINK you are. You know who I am. I am proudly standing up for what I believe.

TEAMGUY. I will never regret standing up for myself. I assure I will be just fine, and know I did what i feel is right. Do you not think you will regret what you have done when YRC is making money hand over fist, laughing all the way to the bank. Way sooner than 2015. It is you they will be laughing at.
