According to an article put out by Gerson Lehrman Group regarding the leaving of Zollars , the IBT estimates that the average Teamster lost $ 25,168 per year in concessions. Can you really afford it ?
And why hasn't this tidbit of knowledge been reported to us by the IBT. The truth REALLY hurts .

what about the job loss and still not making money . because this is the wrong direction.

What percentage of your after deductions pay did you lose? I lost at least 800 a month of actual take home pay.

I figure the "Obama train" will cost me about 1200 /month. I could make up a lot of that in cash workin alongside the Mexicans shoveling snow and landscaping. I got bills paid off enough and plenty in savings that i'm not scared to put the X in the correct box! No stress! It's a "NO"!

Gee wiz JC. Why don't you post vote Yes, and then post the picture of the sky raining with falling polar bears.

vote Obama out of his job..we wouldn't be having this problem

why vote yourself out of a job..the money and insurance is still good

do you have any idea what losing your job will cost

the insurance alone is a whammy if you have to pay for it

Hope all these Yes Voters read this, they just don't get it, apparently they never fought for any of the wages, pension, vacation, etc. that they're
so ready to give up, your 100 % correct, nothing has changed since the last 2 givebacks, infact I see more money being wasted, good example,
yesterday went to Jax railyard, driver before me had a time critical load due yesterday, they put it on the rail, I'm sure customer is really happy
about Not getting his freight and the money we're going to loose on that shipment!!!!! Grow up everyone, yes voters gave in last 2 times, think
about it before you do it again!!!!!I could post alot of other examples but some people will never get it!

How much would it have cost each driver if the first vote came in as a NO, and they closed the doors 2 years ago? The last 2 votes have kept many people working and paying their mortgages, car loans, utilities, clothing, and food for 2 years. As bad as the management is, the bigger problem is the economy. Where are you going to realistically find a job when there are already 11 million people unemployed, other companies, besides YRC feeling the pinch and consolidating and laying off? It's not a pretty picture in the job market today.

Do you really believe there wasn't a PLAN B in place, incase it didn't pass????????

SC Bear, they can't vote No. Some of the YRC employees have an RFID Chip Implant in their hand. The eye on top of the pyramid (BZ) said that they have to vote Yes, or otherwise their chip will be turned off. Then they have no access to support themselves or their families. Their living a different life than the rest of us. Displaying negative behavior, does have it's penalties. Just think, if the wife has the family pets tagged, you can bet the wife had her hubby tagged too. Plus, YRC and the wife has every right to know where their lost dog is, at any given time. On-Duty or Off Duty. Ah oh, I better stay inside, I thought for sure it was going to start raining polar bears, from the sky. :biglaugh:

The insurance at YRC is not what it was. If you have no money you do not have to worry about buying insurance. They still can't make you buy it, even if you have some money.

This was my answer to your question over a year ago.

To YRCW Senior Management,
« on: August 12, 2009, 11:58:46 AM »
The THREE reasons why the New Penn vote came back with a resounding 2 to 1 NO.

1 As in real life, not everyone loves their parent(s), hence the reality that you saw through this vote. There is no respect or love at New Penn toward our parent, YRCW. We get this, you don't.

2 As in real life there are agencies and homes that handle those who wish not to live with their parents. This vote hoped to find New Penn a different parent and a better home. We get this, you don't

3 If the chance to be sold existed through this vote then the hope of retaining benefits and wages could have been realized ... We get this, you don't.

When you understand the true PRIDE in this company which has NEVER faltered, not once, even though your war ships were bombing our shores, taking casualties including good sales and management people, good drivers who ended up retiring long before their time, drivers who were laid off because the YRC BRAND was attached to this great company's name when our customers were concerned by YOUR financials NOT ours!!

In light of your most recent move to put this STILL profitable company out to pasture and in the grave forever doesn't shock us one bit. Adding another Winross toy truck to the shelf of a customer as a focal point amongst his 100 others out of business carriers is not hard for you to do and you've made it clear that's what you will do. Don't blame us for a no vote, you asked, we told. Start making money like us and we won't have to continue to make your lives difficult like you've made ours miserable.
