I heard about a driver out of 055 WMX, that was killed in a crash just west of 015 WMP. From what I saw from the pics and that I heard about the accident, it wasn't a pretty site. If you are friends with the guys family, or worked with the guy.. I send out my sincere condolences. No matter our personal differences about our employer or ourdifferences about what may or may not improve our jobs, I wish all you guys out on the road safe travels. :1036316054:

This is how I found this message board, by searching for that accident... I never did find any info.. Any news links?? I know it's a company cliche, but safety truly is number one. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

This is from the "what I heard file"... So if anyone knows the real truth, please stand up and correct me.. :smilie_132:

I heard that tractor trailer A, was creeping across 80 with a flat, tractor trailer B came up over a slight hill in the road(take that for what its worth), guy B rear ended guy A. Which disabled guy B's rig dead in the middle of 80. So while driver B was out cussing up a storm at driver A (instead of putting his triangles out) Our man from WMX came up over said high spot on 80 and crashed full speed into the other 2. From what I heard the guy from 055 was a good driver, and he never ran tired.. Hope this helps :smilie_132:

You're right about the crash. After the first truck hit, it caught fire. Then the Estes truck hit and it caught fire and the driver, his last name was Atwood I think burned in the truck. He ran a relay to 185 Rockingham,Vt.Awful way for any of us to go,especially at work.

Word was at my terminal was that a set of doubles passed our guy, and cut in too close forcing our guy into the breakdown lane, into a parked rig over a crest in the road. The reports by your accounts seem to make more sense. Either of the different ways, it sucks, and we lost a comrade, and a family lost a provider. Be safe out there please!

just some guy. how come nobody knows his name. i havent heard a word at my terminal. you would think that if a driver was killed the company would say something to the rest of the employees, or is this more linedriver rumour mongering?
