hubby's at Enterprise Tank, Atl for his first day today.. I think he's kinda happy to be in a tanker again, and I know he's burning up his cell phone trying to get all his buddies all over the place lined up to go with them too.. seems like a good company deal to let ya'll keep your vacation from Jevic.. I hope the insurance works out for everyone too. :smilie_132:

There are a lot of questions circulating about how to access the money in your 401(k). It is different based on the situation--when you get it and how much you get depends on things like how long you worked there for. For many people it is still "frozen." If you have any questions, I can walk you through the Jevic plan. My number is 215-587-4697. I have been working with former Jevic employees all day, every day for the last 3 weeks.

After 10 yrs. as a local Jevic driver, I'm now unhappily employed at Saia. I drive a different piece of junk everyday for $3 less per hour. At least I am working. I miss Jevic.

Buzzbeez: Noticed you stated around Chicago area. But you mentioned being in Indiana,,, not sure but have you tried Priority(formerly Kat, I think)(Rte.49) in Chesterton? Midland Grocery?(Rte 421)thinking Westville, Or Aldi's off Rte 49 Valpo, Jet-Corr also off Rte 49?

ABF still had a sign out hiring drivers in Chicago Hts. Go figure...
My hubby is on the road, right now, so not sure of who might be hiring or better to lean towards. But, maybe can give you some possibilites.

I tried Yellow, couldn't stand unions. :toxic: Now a proud member of FedEx Freight!!! :funky::horse::woot:

You used to wear FedEx Freight Jackets on the Jevic dock. I thought you'd end up there. I scheduled for Drug Screen, Physical, and Road Test next Monday. Looks like its FedEx National for me. WooHoo.
