Good luck on trying to get 40hrs in a week my friend. Over here in south Texas. And to top it all off I pay 160.00 a month on gas. And that's just to and from work not the weekend driving.

do you mean yard work at your house?is that overtime?

jusk kidding fedex is moving towards taking every step possible to eliminate ot by using 4 day bids on long stem time runs and hiring a bunch of other drivers.fedex will also use red shirts on the dock and to make moves in the yard.

i'm not sure how long you have been with fxf but it seems the closer to the bottom of the list you are the more o.t. you get.at my center they also stopped posting start times so its harder to prove that fxf ignores senority

At our barn we bid start times the older drivers get their time in and less senior drivers get what is left over. Our bottom guys are lucky if they get 30 hrs a week. They were offered a transfer when we lost some territory and were told if they stayed they would be on call and only work as needed.

i try to get 8 hrs a day in mob al average about 37 47 per week time in half after 8 i work city on call. work nights days what ever it takes and i spend about 110 a week in gas going to and from my home to work 67 miles 1 way5 days per week

i should have said in my original post, i have 13 years with the co. just trying to find out whats coming at us in the west. the rumor mill is getting plenty of ot out here!!!

I quess it depends on the center
we might get 20-40 minutes one day
then get off 45 minutes early the next day
I get close to 40hrs a week(usually) 31hrs this week
and out of the 40, I might have an hour of OT

I get OT every week at my barn. Hell 2 weeks ago I had 61 hours in. But they do try to limit the OT. Being the bottom man (due to injuries and firings) I have to do the Saturday work for Apple computer deliveries.

been getting 40-46 hrs a week. but the big wig told are center manager cut the ot ! we just put on 4 drivers, and 2 more coming on soon. things may get very slow hours wise come winter.

Seems to be system wide, in the East at least. More new Supplemental Dock and City Drivers that you can shake a stick at. Spend a dollar to save a dime?! Barely get them in here, trained, weaned, and they leave or guys with a little strap say screw this crap and leave. With the costs of pee tests, background checks, training, misc. new hire paper work, and damaged freight I don't see how it can actually save that much $$$. But what do I know, I drive a truck for a living.

You well be lucky to get a hour a week down here in Texas. Dam they write you up when you put in 1 to 3 min overtime. So everybody is halling @ss to get back to the hub. Dam when your a city driver working the dock you well be lucky if you put in 35 hrs in a week.

must be only in certain terminals. where im at(west) I never get less than 42 hrs a week, and if i do its not less than 40 anyways.Even when i was a "dock driver" I still got my 40 / week. But then again we are a big and busy terminal avg from 1700-2000 bills outbound per night.
