FedEx Freight | Road Drivers Pissed off.

I saw 4 Road drivers working the dock. 1 that had 18 years the other had 14 years with the company. And so on. They said its becasue of the new changes that took place this week. And the 1 that had 14 years with the company went home after 4hrs of work. He said they had no extra runs for him. These guys are now extra board drivers. Dam what a shame. From making dam good money to not even geting runs or hrs. I guess you shouldn't think you are allways going to have a good postion with the company. Save your money.

Did these guys transfer or have drivers transfer to their center with change? Did drivers that transferred with the change dovetail in? Having 18 years and 14 years just kind of surprising that drivers moved that affected them so much that they had to bid dock work bids or extraboard unless all runs out of the center are dock work bids.

We had 2 guys move to Dallas with the new change. So they lost 2 runs here where I'm at. These guys have been here that long with the company but have been road drivers for 8 to 9 years they where telling me today. Thats pretty said how the company can change from one day to the next when every they wont. No consideration for the employees. Things need to change.

..If you bumped in here with only 8 years of road time you would only be on the extra board

I also have a question...with 18 years company time that keeps your job in job class before layoff doesn't it and you lost 2 runs. was the choice move or be termainted? Did they have to move with 18 years or am I missing something.....

They did away with to runs. And 2 road drivers had to move to Dallas or quit. Also I herd from the same guys yesterday that when they went to Hou. There was some drivers there that where saying that FedEx is going to start using more of the shiny wheel drivers to hall or freight. So that means less FedEx Road drivers.

So as long as we dont spell the entire "U" word out its okay to repeatedly suggest in any companies forum that they need to be it? Thought there were :Rulz: , its obvious Mr. pickle is just here to :stirthepot:

Ok I'm done with the warnings about talking union in this forum. Vacations will be given , push me and I'll ban for not reading the rules. I have been very lenient. There is a place for you guys to talk union on this board , I suggest you start using it.
