Yellow | Gettin a Letter

The only thing you sign is your check and the grievance. Don't worry about this either it is really no big deal.

To have an accident in your records for something so petty is just wrong and it really is something that you could fight and have removed!!!! To sign a letter under protest simply means that you have recieved the letter. Only stands to reason that you cant fight the issue until you have recieved the letter. Get counsel from your steward or BA and get things going. An accident on your record is really a big deal and this unfortunate incident should never be recorded as an accident. Your record of operation protects your future and your pride! I always want mine to be as clean as I can keep it.

over worked city driver

I have been doing city delivery for 31 years and have gotten letters for simliar accidents. The reason you are getting the letter is because it happened on private property, my advice would be sign for the letter and protest the letter, you can not protest it. if you did not sign for it This way the letter and protest letter will go into your file (no big deal ) then if any thing else should happen they will review your file and the union will have this imformation to defend your case. In our local the letters stay in your file but ,after six months they can not be used aginst you. Like it or not this is the way it works you have to put this behind you and go on . Best of luck

Similar thing happened to me...Check your State Electrical code or call the electrical inspector where it happened, see if he can issue a violation to the building owner.
