I was looking at NEMF coverage area and noticed that they have several terminals in OH, one in Chicago, but none in IN. It would make sense for them to at least have a terminal in Indpls. Does anyone know if NEMF will be opening a terminal in IN? If not what is the reason you think there are no IN terminals?

They refuse to work near the crappy Indy Colts!!!!!!!!!

Go STEELERS!

The rumors are they are looking to expand into indy, and were also looking at louisville,ky. That was two years ago when cincy opened. So as far as I know they will eventually open one or both.

would be nice to see them come to louisville...would love to get out of the ltl company im driving for now!!!! you said talk was 2 years ago, any recent talk? pitt ohio was talking about expanding into lvl but heard fuel cost and economy stopped that!

Company Plans in IN.

We have been told that the Company intends to open a Terminal in the Indianapolis area, although we have not had any formal announcement from the Company as to a date. I think that management decided to slow their expansion plans due to the slow pace of the economy.
I would like to point out that our Company has recently purchased some trailers and tractors and has parked them in Columbus. If we didn't intend to expand, then I see no reason for the Company to purchase equipment and keep it close by.
Perhaps the economy will improve next year, to the point where management feels comfortable enough to take the plunge? I hope so.

It has always been the owner's practice to purchase equipment, in advance of actual need, to take advantage of favorable pricing. It's not readily apparent, but there is a constant and steady upgrading program in place for the power equipment. It is a sign of "business as usual" to those of us who have watched it over the years.

I was one of the lucky few who went and got some of the equipment. Jevic day cabs and trailers. Vovo's 10spds.

Good for you. It's a good thing that men from all of the midwestern terminals have been involved in moving this equipment around so that they see that the Company has made a commitment to continue the expansion program. Like I said, why buy equipment if you don't intend to use it? Thank you brother. :USA:

Mike S. buys the new equipment and mothballs it untill he needs is. But the catch is the warranty on it doesn't kick in untill he puts it on the road. Also he bought a bunch of power units before the new EPA regs. so he didn't have to buy any for a while cus' he didn't want to get aything with the new motors in it untill the manufactures get the the bugs worked out. And from what i've seen, the new volvo daycabs that are on the road have a S*it load of electrical problems. Mike S. is a good business man and to you guys in the western expansion he will treat you fair, just keep the **** poor excuse of a union out of your terminal unless you want to start getting S*it on.

I heard the rumour again about indianapolis terminal, and they are still interested. Our city guys go up there from cincy to pick-up and deliver.

The last rumor we heard in the east was Oct. this year. But even if it's not until next year, I'm sure it will happen eventually.

If any of you guys hear any solid rumors about Ft. Wayne again, send me a PM. 22 years in linehaul and I'm tired of this city crap, thanks
