This is the week that they are going to let us know what happens. Has anyone heard anything yet. Will they just post a list or let us know one on one?

Tired of my life being up in the air. Would finally like to make some plans one way or another.

I'm glad I don't have to wait for news. I need about 60 guys ahead of me to leave, so my fate is sealed and I can't wait for the future. Never been this excited to get let go!!!

yeah, the info is out there. I heard it today. Problem is, nothing is in stone yet.

Say you opted to take the voluntary severance. on the first round, you might be eligible, but if 3 drivers lose their jobs off your new board, you may not be eligibile for the voluntary severance in the future.

Same thing if you missed having a job by one too many drivers on the new combined board. If someone on the board gets DQ'd, you might still have a job.

very nerve-wracking...

When I called today about the voluntary severance pay, I was told my chances are very good because I have the most seniority of any of the drivers looking to get the severance pay. Then they told me they won't know anything until Jan 14th. What kind of nonsense is that. TP

String everyone along as long as we can.. Then spring it on them we need you.. Or we do not need you sorry.....

That was funny.
Sorry you will be stuck working with us for 3 more months.

this place is a joke, the pamplet they gave us clearly stated they would notify us of our new location by 15th, couldnt they have atleast told us when they are going to tell us instead of stringing us along, some of us do not know if were going to have a job id like to know asap so i can look for another job, they run this place like JOES TRUCKING not FEDEX . i expected better than this

They took us in one at a time told use roughly where in senority we will fall and then had to sign the sheet that we accept the position

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is why UNIONS were formed. Teamsters !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same thing by us Chitown had one on ones today 3 city guys transfered to Seymour the rest of the city guys are staying in Oshkosh. So that leaves us with 13 city. The road drivers find out tonite what happens with them.

I was told I made it even with the dovetails coming in and now have the the distinction of being the absolute least senior driver in the whole barn-road or city.Needless to say I am still keeping me eyes peeled.

I don't want to take a pay cut just yet. Tell me what the unions would do to change this? FedEx is following the same rules the Union would enforce.

FedEx is nothing but a low-life POS company.
I badmouth them all the time to friends, family, and customers.
Wish I could retire, I really hate working here.
All I wanna do is run my forks through their freight.
I'd leave, but it's tough to find trucking jobs that pay as good as this one.
Wish I could have gotten that severance...but hey, at least I've got a job.

If I hated the company that bad I would find something else trucking or not, life is to short to go around pissed off all the time

Oh dear boys and girls. You must perservere. When I was with MI-5 information was on a need to know basis and we didn't need to know. Stiff upper lip, chin up old chaps and all that rot. Lol. Just be glad you weren't forced to transfer 2 years ago to Shamrock Tx and now you have to pull up stakes again because your nearest option is 60 miles- 175miles away

like one person said "life's too short to be pissed off at work" it's also too short to chase a job all over the country. IMHO

But dont you know pops, that is the fedex way, make the employees unhappy where they can walk around pissed off everyday and make everyone else day miserable.

No one held a gun to your head and forced you to transfer to Shamrock. It was a choice you made to keep your job with Fedex just as moving again is a choice you are making now to keep your job.

If you are going to stay in trucking it's hard to find a job that pays as well as this. Plus the bennie's.

There are downsides. All jobs have rules and butt holes you have to work with. Do your job and keep your head down and your mouth shut. It's the only way to get by.
