I know a guy who put shiney front wheel covers and rear hub and lug nut covers on his mack. UPS made him take them off.. Too bad they looked great.

Years ago our cabover Peerbilts had aluminum front bumpers. UPS would keep them painted brown, but if you could get the carwasher to blast on them with the pressure washer he could have the paint off in no time. It would last until the next pmi....................:hysterical:

If you look at pictures of the equipment from the 60's and early 70's we had aluminun wheels that were not painted, air horns, spotlights, and the logos for the truck were left on.

I drove a 66 Peterbilt that had a sleeper, 250 Cummins, 10 speed, and that old truck was just like new till the day they ADA'd it in 1989....:1036316054:

We had Mack F models. no power steering, 5 speed, spring ride seat.Horrible trucks. Then we got MH Macks, No power steering, 5 speed, 230 hp. Better but still nasty. Now we have no cab overs. CH Macks, Vision Macks, Sterlings, and a few Internationals. Most are nice driving trucks. Mine is a Vision. It would be nice if they would by some Petes or KW's though. I would love to see some of the new trucks come with air ride instead of those doggone springs.
