Not sure if All terminals are supplying snow chains for the wild drivers, But don't come into Colorado with out chains hanging from September to the end of May! Colorado does not care if there is snow on the ground or not. The law is you must have chains hanging. If you get caught its 500.00 the first time.

The chain law was in effect thursday night on the passes on I-70 in the mountains so yes snow is already upon us here.

Da#n it, i knew they were cracking down out there since last year but they must of stepped it up again. last year you would only get fined for not having them on when your supposed to or wiping out and closing a lane down nothing about just having to have them in case. Good luck gettin chains they took mine last year cause i told them i wouldn't be back out that way for a year cause of a bid run.

I have heard that some OD terminals and some of our competitors have some sort of clip on chains (cheater chains) for city drivers. These could come in handy where I work. Have anyone else heard of these.

Hey sparky we use a 4 foot chain just to get through some of the yards or get unstuck. Run it through the holes of your rim then out around the tire and use one of your padlocks to keep it on. Rough ride but will get you out everytime.

Arrggghhhh!!! The mere thought of snow chains gives me the shivers. Fortunately, my run has changed so, I'll no longer be dealing with those little April suprises along I-70.

Could sure use them here many times. Wonder why they are not distributed in KCY.

Sorry sparky let me be more clear, you'll need to go purchase the chain yourself. Just one you can get it at any hardware store and i'll guarentee it's cheaper than losing your safety bonus for getting stuck. P.S. it's also handy if someone wants to get a little out of line. :biglaugh:

Sparky, have you tried asking for some chains? WIC and PAR both have tons [literally, their heavy] of them,Have your T.M. e mail either terminal, thell send some right up.

shouldn't you been gettin some rest for that easy runnin to goodland. don't you feel quilty only having to kick the cruise off once to get there. thats what i tell our t-town boys who if they have a light load don't have to kick it off at all.

i was just in your term. a few hours ago. yours was one of six locations i hit last night.

be careful.
