TForce | Disappointed

Welcome to Overnite where No body cares and every body passes the buck. I thought that UPSF would have the best services standards in LTL market. What a JOKE!? WE are still Overnite after 5 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's because we still have the same whinny drivers.:17142:

...yupp,be on time, work smart...and the rest will take care of itself....you`re new...instant acceptance isnt going to happen...heck you might even be knocking out someones overtime...just chill...and follow Apostolic`s very wise moto..

Work as unto the Lord and it will always be enough.

The company made $177 million last quarter. I think they are doing just fine.

If you want to change the operations of the company go into management.

Well I was hoping someone intelligent would reply. I am curious if it is like this at all terminals or just mine... oh well judging by your replies my fears are confirmed. UPS Freight employs mostly dumb *****!!!

We are Teamsters. We can do what ever we want, the Union will get are jobs back!!!:p

this is my board and I do not whine....I do have many greivances filed and how many have you filed, how many arbitrations have you won....how many times have you been put out of service, fired and suspended, and I am still here fighting for the contract and have been fighting the contract since the days of motor cargo, when no one heard or cared about the name overnite...guess what we still don't.....

Motor who?

Apostholic being 2mil accident free for YRC and a SMITH, HAZMAT, ROADTEAM member I respect all you go through! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! NEED TO PUSH YOUR ACCIDENT SITE ON THE BOARD! alway's keeps me involved (HOPEFULLY ALL PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS)

I remember in 1986,that Union Pacific Rail Road was the first buyer from Harwood J. Chocrane the original owner and founder of Overnite.
I also remember that the rail road did not know how to deal with LTL freight, and they almost ran us into the ground.
UPS was looking at Overnite back then ,but UP wanted to much.
Overnite was a partner with Coles & Viking, untill American Freight which is now Fedex Freight, bought out those two.
Overnite needed to continue the service into the midwest so they bought out troubled Motor Cargo.

The Teamsters tried to organize Overnite from 1999 till they gave up in 2001.
During that time frame Overnite had become devalued and the rail road wanted out so they could focus on their core business rail roading.
That is how the Overnite higher ups were able to buy Overnite back from UP.
The stock went public, and UPS came into the picture buying up all of the stock.

And that my former co-workers is our history, short, and sweet,or sour depending on your perspective.

You see Overnite was on very shaking ground many times in the past.
However in my opinion I believe the former Overnite/Motor Cargo are doing well under the wings of UPS.

Welcome to the union enviromnet brotha....(1 guy works 3 watch) like your mentor said you can take as many bath break as you want and nobody can say anything..wow, thats what you want from your employer--imagine how ups feels hearing that..or better yet how that complacent attitude reflects to the customers...dont think if thats what your " mentor" said he isnt practicing

motor cargo was not small and they were never part of overnite....if motor cargo was still in business it would have had nothing to do with overnite...even the mighty ups can not fix overnite...overnite did not seem to mind spending the million dollars a day in revenue we produced before they nearly bankrupted us...we never had duct tape on our doors and trailers with holes in them until overnite came along...better save some extra cash to help them with the silver and duct tape. How many times can I keep telling you guys overnite did not buy motor cargo, they could not afford to buys us the only one with enough smarts was the railroad, when they saw what was happening with the pension fund they got going when the going was good. They are still laughing all the way to the bank.

overnite were liars then and they have not changed their stripes....trust me motor cargo was a seperately help company held by the union pacific railroad. When I sold my motor cargo stock I had it converted to railroad stock and not overnite stock. overnite never bought or owned anything, and they still don't.

Amillion dollars a day......WOW.... Overnite was doing that 25 yrs ago. That's why we got bought by UP. Who did you say you were associated with ? Motor who.
