Im new here my 1st post.

I have talked to a buddy of mine that works at pyle in West Chester PA. So he has answer alot of my ?'s. But i do have one

I might be getting a linehaul job out of west chester do they slip seat???

Also Con-Way right now the street in West chester is hiring. They start at 19.60/hr OT after 40. Why would you guys want to work for pyle over conway???

My buddy also told me they start at 16/hr but have what they call the FAST TRACK PROGRAM where you can be at 19-20hr in 6 months. How true is that???

Thanks
MACKMAN

:smilie_132:2yrs to top rate for L/H or P+D, starting rate 19 or better at duie. fast track is no longer.

thanks for your reply. So the fast track is the thing of the past.. thats a good.

Do you know if the slip seat??

Do you drive for pyle now??

i do not drive for Pyle, but i did interview, twice in fact at Webster, Mass when they WERE there.

they DO slip seat.........

and my God, if i had to wait for two years for top pay at my 20+ years of experience, i'd quit..........

i'm really sorry i even interviewed with them.......they ain't no better or no worse than anyone else..........

you WILL WORK the docks, linehaul or city........is what I WAS TOLD. linehaul, bunk room, clean out your truck......

city........you may not get the same truck each day, and if you share it with a linehaul guy, kiss your things good-bye....

any other questions....????

:chairshot:they do use L/H trks during the day in the city operation, but L/H drvs are assigned trks. City men -some have assigned trks, some dont. L/H might have to work the dock if the terminal your at needs help. It doesn't matter how much exp you have the time to top rate is the same. Very few good co's start you at top rate, none of the big LTL do !!:party-smiley-017::grinning-smiley-021

i was told right up front, in linehaul when you get to your final destination, your truck is going out again, and you WILL not get it back. the chances of getting back your so-called assigned truck are slim to none....again, this is what i WAS TOLD...............when i interviewd at the now closed, webster, mass terminal............

and i was told, YOU WILL WORK the docks, no matter what.........at both ends, not just your arrival location..............

so someone either lied to me in the interview, or someone is lying to me now..........either way, i ain't gonna cry over "Plye of crap".....

Thanks for the input guys.

I really really dont want to slip seat. So if they do slip seat i will look around a little harder. But other then the slip seating problem they dont sound all that bad to me.

Look, I had worked for pyle for 6 years, in a ny terminal.it WAS a good job. just dont get the TM pissed, I have 6 trophies from state and company rodeos. making his term. look good. and for all that he cut out all my ot just in time for the holidays, a mere 250.00 loss each week when they were still busy. they do slip seat, so like that and deal w/ it. They Will smoke in your truck mess w/ your stuff if not steal it, then mgmt will say you should have taken your stuff out. GOOD LUCK.:chairshot:
