I'm tired of people who think this company should be shut down because they don't like it here anymore. It's like they're saying, "I don't like it here anymore, so you can't like it either!"
There are some selfish people around!
It's not that I dislike it here. It's that I'm tired of giving up what we earned to a company that don't know how to run a trucking company. Like I said before, it's quite simple, pick up freight, move freight from point A to point B with no or little damages, and deliver said freight. Then lather, rinse and REPEAT. If you can not do that than by all means shut 'er down. But I refuse to give back anymore.

Don't worry Box Lover. It will pass. There are enough smart drivers at YRC that realize there is no choose now. You don't force a companies hand that is the shape YRC is in and the economy is in. Better to have a job now till the economy either gets better or another job offer comes.
I don't know Skeeter. I am really not sure of this vote. Lots of guys are fed up and don't care anymore. And don't truly realize what it is like when they are completely unemployed . It is absolutely amazing how different the world seems when you are unemployed !! When CF closed I was unemployed for 1 week then Yellow called. I don't ever want to go back to that week again.
They shut ABF down also...Remember the IBT said "you must approve this or the doors will close" to the ABF boys.. Did they shut down? Remember the IBT said on the last giveback "you must approve or the doors will close and this will be the last giveback" as they pumped their chest out. What are the calling this one the "secure job act" or some other BS. Read my lips THIS COMPANY WILL CONTINUE TO ASK FOR MORE TILL YOU TELL THEM NO. I noted on my previous post how much this is costing you to work here. Do you not you look at your stub each week? How come we didn't sell the Chinese business or the non-union side to stay afloat? Because they can continue to pick you pocket with a smile and say "be lucky to have a job" Glen Moore is growing all is good.. The board and the banks cant believe how easy the IBT rolls over..News flash....We make less then the other non-union LTL carries. They get a 401-k we get no pension... Once again YOU WILL NEED TO WORK AN ADDITIONAL 6 YEARS TO RETIRE... YOU MAKE LESS THAN CONWAY.... YOUR MEDICAL IS NEXT.... THEY KEEP EXPANDING GLEN MOORE.......THE IBT KEEPS TELLING YOU MORE GIVEBACKS....HELLO McFLY!!!!!!!!!! The IBT cares not about us anymore as we are a small percentage of the IBT now. Hoffa destroyed the car carriers and now Jimmy and Tyson are working that special magic on the freight deal. How come there was no investigation on how the IBT got ABF so wrong?

I wish I would've voted no. But you see I'm not a gambling man. And if you ask me this is one thing that I'm not willing to gamble on. Not because I'm afraid or anything like that. It's because it's not about only me. I involves more then just me and my feelings of being screwed. It involves my family. And for that reason and that reason only do I vote in favor of this BS. We all know it's BS but the price we have to pay to find out that it's not is to great. You can only fight an opponent that you can see.
Non union Cos. pay a 3 % match for your 401k. That equates to about 35 bucks a week. Even at this 25 % of 2009 pension payments it comes to around 70 bucks a week. That is twice as much for YRC to pay as the nons. And our medical remains free and will stay so with the 35 $ per year increases. Get a grip people. You truly do not know how good you have it.
hey wake up conway pays what 35 dollars or.00 45 or so a week into 401 k there insurance in rumored to go up to 420.00 month double what they pay now...( lets see we pay nothing.....) after the first of the year for family of 4 ............... and if we go out of bussiness so will abf they cant make pension payments that we make( multi employer will kill them) unless congress pass reform today lol isnt going to happen anytime soon abf i dont think they said they would shut the doors on there vote that they need it to be competative good luck finding a job or a job as a road guy making 45,000 55,000 for werner or crete getting 2200 2500 miles a week working 25 45 more hours a week higher road expsensess and being gone for 2 3 weeks and home two days.....and paying for your insurance
med is not freeeeeee. and its 35c an hour instead of $1 that will bankrupt our med. soon enough . those cost have gone through the rook already. paying 2x as much for rx. 2 x as much in co-pays . and extra costs we never had to pay b4 because they are under funded already and will just fall farther behind. free my a$$

The give away statement telling who you really are "Free Healthcare". Anyone in the union says our healthcare is part of our pay package - anyone in management says "we get Free healthcare".
You should be ashamed.
I have to completely agree with you. But at this point in time with YRC and the economy being in the shape its in. Back off and live to fight another point and time in history. The outcome may be a lot brighter.
