i want my strike fund money now

We all had better insist that our union dues that are 2 times our hourly wage are also reduced. And that we no longer want to pay the extra $10 in dues to the strike fund that we've been paying because we aren't allowed to strike any more....it seems we also aren't allowed to vote no on POS contracts either...

been laid off forever would like to see the union help the laid off people out with are strike find!!!
 
Based on a 50 hour week, we would be giving back(rounded, depending on region): $126/week, $546/MONTH, $6552/PER YEAR!

THAT'S REAL MONEY FOLKS, STRAIGHT OUT OF OUR POCKETS TO BE MISMANAGED SOME MORE IF THIS PASSES!!! ...and we haven't heard what else they wan't to shove up our a..!!! :cuss: :maddance3: :thumbsdown: :mad:

No, we would not be losing a great deal of money; we'd still have our jobs. Say, for instance, tomorrow YRC either laid you off or closed-- tomorrow you'd start somewhere else for a LOT less, minus vacation, seniority, retirement, sick days, etc,etc....besides having to look for a job, apply for the job, go thru the hiring process, starting at the bottom rate, etc,etc.....

How can you say you ever Lost anything? We aren't guaranteed we'll still be alive 5 minutes from now, so don't count on nuth'n!

Base your life on 40 hours....10% comes to around $90.40 per week cut at 52 weeks is $4,700.80.
Never live your life by what OT you think you will get....KK
 
Equal Sacrifice

I don't want to see everyone have to suffer, but, I am glad it is Equal Sacrifice.It is only fair.
 
A 10% concession as a Road driver still brings me in at more than most of the competition.

#2....A "snap back" provision applies if terminated by mutual agreement.....more to come....KK

pardon my ignorance, what does "snap back" mean? and if what is terminated? the entire company or just this agreement? enlighten the mentally challenged please :)
 
A lot of our non-union competition has already cut their drivers pay by cutting them down to 24 to 32 hours a week, but still giving them full benefits (which they have to partially pay for). They have a lot more flexibility that the YRCW companies do in that situation. Yellow has been forcing overtime on several dock/yard shifts for some time since they laid off way too many people already! With 18 city drivers laid off at CVE/RFO, 55 to 60 hour weeks are the norm for quite a few of us!

It is called a strike fund for just that reason!!!!!!!!!!!
When you go on strike there is something to feed your family.
You just cant take money out because YOU want it.
Use your head before you say stupid things!
Lay offs are the nature of the trucking beast
Be prepared and stop trying to get something thats not there for the reasons you state just because you want it

Please QUIT NOW!!!!!!!!! and go find the great jobs with the great benes that you are all talking about that are out there!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then maybe we can bring back some BROTHERS that are laid off who would be more than happy to be making 90% instead of the 0% they are mking now
