I heard a rumor in Akron (211) today that Winston (671) has already started to pay drivers according to the 10% cut. Is this true? Anybody been thru there lately? DS? What's up?

in charleston sc they have posted on the bulletin board that beginning dec 21rst they will reduce our pay by 10%........do they already know the outcome of the vote?...seems to me they do......

Well, thats all it is....a rumor. They haven't even counted the ballots yet. this is the type of garbage that should be removed immediately. Use your head before posting please.

Hey brian..........no wages earned in 2008 will be cut. If and when the 10% reduction is voted in all wages earned in 2009-2013 will be reduced. Not until then. Hope this helps. DS.

The guy that I bought the G W Bridge from asked me how I got all that money so quick. I told him I worked at R. He told me his friend's sister's brother in laws dad worked out of 671 and he was having 10% taken out of his check. I think it is really happening already.

All disbursement of payroll checks after Jan 1 will be reduced 10% if this thing passes. the way payroll works is that the work that you perform after DEC 21 you get paid in Jan. So in essence you will be working for 10% less after Dec 21 if this thing goes thru

i thought it was all money earned after dec 31, 08. meaning it would be 2 weeks into jan before you would see pay cut..... that was my understanding.

Its very simple, what you make before January 1, 2009 is yours, no matter when they pay it to you. Some people are held back only one week and some are held back two weeks. It doesn't matter, any money made on or after January 1, 2009 will be at the 10% reduction. Its been posted by several very creditable Truckingboards members, that have proved that they know what is correct and what is incorrect, from the information that they have given in the past. If anyone wants to listen to the guys that keep telling what they think they know, then so be it. For the last time, the 10% reduction to our pay will begin, with money made in 2009, any money made in 2008 is at the full rate of pay.
Of course, this is if the plan is accepted by the membership.

Brian, its not what you asked but how many times that the same thing has been asked and answered by others. Thats what this site is here for, to exchange information with one another. There was some truth to this rumor/fact a week or so ago but once we found out about it here on Truckingboards, there were enough people spreading the word to there friends and it was stopped before it ever happened. Thats why Truckingboards is the largest and most popular site of its kind anywhere. Don't let anybody make you feel unwelcome here, the pressure of all of this is taking its toll on everybody. Just keep on reading and posting what you know or want to know about and somebody will get you the answer.
