ODFL | Where would you go ?

If I could change terminals I would go to the Southeastern U.S. Namely the Mobile, Pensacola, Tallahassee area. Better weather being the main reason. I also happen to love that area of the country.

Montana would be a good fit for me. It would be more like working for OD in the earlier days. Tiny terminals where it's just one small family. Always liked that feeling better at some of the terminals I've worked at.

jim bob sometimes you ask the best questions......... i think i would just stay in the same old place. to lazy to move. have a safe day.

i agree with billylo ,it was a lot more "home feeling" "family group" when our terminal was smaller where we worked together better.now it is a power structure ,a US and THEM attitude.in our meetings of old the mgr would tell us what was and how to fix it now they skim through and tell us nothing.now it is all about the numbers.

Of course it would depend on which job I would take but I always thought Reno NV would be a cool place to live. But I have never been there. I have been to the coast and have came to the realization that I am a inlander. You guys can have that big pond if you like it. Reno just looks like the kind of geography I would like if I was not happy here. But the midwest is just so reasonably priced I think I will stay here. You can have that isolated Montana to though it would be better than the southwest where well to tell you the truth I do not feel welcome and if the Indians want it I guess they should have it.

Those SW and Texas girls and there voices can be as sweet as wine and I see the draw there I do envy that.

My question why do the Okies think they are southerners.

El Paso was always one of the friendliest terminals I went to when I was running wild, you can do worse than Tucson turns,or west TX meet and turns.Running I-10 in the desert rules!!!!

The Great Northern Frontier

I would love to go back to Alaska. Open up a terminal in Anchorage and 1 in Fairbanks, with a satellite terminal further up north. I mean think of the impact and the wide open opportunity. We are getting into moving containers, warehousing in Alaska, plus some serious P&D. I've already thought of some prime customers that ship out of Alaska to lower 48. Plus you have the Oil Rigs up north. Like I told the people I work with here in PDX, I never chained in Alaska, never needed to.

Hey David, if you ever want to venture into the Great White North my hand is up for volunteers. Just got to convince the wife.

Besides, it would be nice to be with the Nation's best Governor...............Just my opinion.
