Now all of you know that there will be no more lay-offs because Tyson and Hoffa said this new deal will protect good teamsters jobs. HA HA
Does anyone here really know how far in debt YRCW is?
Maybe some of the terminals are the duplicate in Reddaway, Holland and New Penn territories. The threat is out there.
copy the sell terminals to pay for the acquisitions
At the end of 2008, YRC Worldwide had 711 terminals. By Dec. 31, 2009, it had slashed that number to 511. Now it has about 478, with 128 at its regional carriers.
"We've been aggressively trying to change the networks and our cost structure to get them to the right size," Smid told The Journal of Commerce in April.
The goal is not just to reduce operating costs but eliminate inefficiencies.
"We still feel we have opportunities in metropolitan areas to locally consolidate facilities, perhaps from three terminals to two," Smid said in the April interview.
cant make pick ups and deliveries now i guess it will be easier with less mencopy the sell terminals to pay for the acquisitions
To mr. wild thing HOLLAND and NEW PENN do not overlap ast all. We interline through about five different points. The truth be told we are much more efficent than the YRC system. Transit times and on time service is truly unheard of. We are a very profitable system so why screw with it.
they will shed the terminals by combining holland and new penn into yrc terminals .Why have two terminals in the same area? Some on the same dock already.Won't take much to combine.
