FedEx Freight | Conflict of Interest and Part Time jobs

I've been on the employer side of things. If FedEx didn't have the rules they have some would take advantage and walk all over them. I've had people working for me that tried at every corner to get one up. It's easier and less time consuming to make a blanket rule for everyone than to deal with each case as it comes up.

Try on a different pair of shoes before you judge. Remember, what I type is my opinion. You don't have to agree with it, but I do have the right to have it.

All nice in theory but you are in violation of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

§395.8 Driver’s record of duty status.

(j) Drivers used by more than one motor carrier. (1) When the services of a driver are used by more than one motor carrier during any 24-hour period in effect at the driver’s home terminal, the driver shall submit a copy of the record of duty status to each motor carrier. The record shall include:

(j)(1)(i) All duty time for the entire 24-hour period;

(j)(1)(ii) The name of each motor carrier served by the driver during that period; and

(j)(1)(iii) The beginning and finishing time, including a.m. or p.m., worked for each carrier.

Fedex doesn't ask if Ive worked for anyone else. all they want is me to work for them that night. They don't care if I worked for anyone else or not, they don't care if my family eats or not, they are worried about there own a$$, so why should I worry about there a$$. I need to worry about and feed my family, cause they could care less about my family.

Need I say more.

Haul mail like I do. $24.50/hr.

The FedEx HR lady found out about it and got all pissy. I asked her then why is FedEx allowed to haul billions of dollars of USPS mail in their planes and I'm not?

i can remember back when i was part time having to sign a paper saying i wouldnt work for any competion or any other fedex corp besides freight which sucked becuase i had just had an interview with R&L to work the inbound part time and would have been working part time with FX on the outbound. Later i find out that the the new sup we had hired was a sup at CT well working the inbound part time at FX. I hate that i always followed the rules.:duh:
 
They have the first opertunity to give you the hours you need if they cant provide you with this they should butt out.They dropped the ball you didnt.
