Yellow | Intercourse This Place!

Can't believe I wasted my time reading this thread. I'd rather pull out a hangnail than read the cyberspace p!ssing matches on this site. I've been online since 1995 and still get sucked in by something that may be worth reading. I learned my lesson this time.

Gotta agree w/you Barney. This thread is a waste of Cyber Ink. Hope everything works out for you there.

Probably one of the guys getting the overtime while we sit at home.:loser:

And that's because Kansas City is half azzed busy, remember K.C. was a gainer, a +37 in the COO & you were a -55 there in Buffalo. K.C only had 11 people transfer in, had you transferred in, you too could be working. By the way regular342 only has 2.5yrs of seniority.

No, "you" are not in the same boat as I am. I work everyday with my time but what these pieces of sh#t(company and senior girls)do the the guys at the bottom in my opinion is criminal. Pitty, you bet, for all the people getting screwed. You'd understand if you could get away from buying all those me-sters drinks and lunch trying to get them to throw you a bone. I don't blame you though, you've had very bad role models. Me, I've never been able to lick so that is why management and certain senior girls think I not a team player and hate my guts(sleep like a baby too). Oh, our pension fund is doing halfway decent and I've done some planning, so let them get the locks out.

If your able to collect a pension, go ahead. see ya, bye bye

Would rather take a layoff in Buffalo than a transfer to KC. I've been there and have little desire to go back.:loser:

nice thought

Stop blaming your coworkers for working OT . Management figured out its cheaper to pay OT and only OT when pension and H/W contributions and paid time off exceeded the OT rate .
This practice will continue until :
1-national formula for hours worked per barn dictates how many workers are needed is in the NMFA .
2- Contributions paid for all hours worked .
Always look to upper management for the source of the problem first .Your bosses on the jobsite follow orders .
And your BA should be there every day if that much OT is being done and people on layoff aren't being recalled .

Nice thought , but you'll never see this with this BALLESS
administration........Just remembet T_minus 2 years and counting:smilie_132:

As far as me taking the pension now, why? I need 2 more years but would be ok now if need be. As far as the overtime formula, I tried it for about 6 weeks(because that is part of my job lulu)and was never able to trip it. If the drivers hours were seperate from the dock, it would be overwhelming in favor of bringing in 2-3 extras. To who brought up the women thing, explain how they are being insulted. I have only met 2 female ltl drivers in 31 years and the one was on the other team(not that theres anything wrong with that)but I can see your point about how it is a little belittling comparing our senior girls(greedy me-sters) to them since the ladies could run-drive and lift circles around them. Finally, if some of you don't like my posts you don't have to read them and put me on ignore. I choose to see things the way they are. I understand seeing this place run into the ground by moronic management isn't pleasent but try to see the reality of the situation, you could deliver a Hundred bills a day and it won't matter. Its completely out of your and my control. Believe me, they will be back for more, way more. I can see them asking for a UPSF white paper agreement or else. Of course jimmy will agree but tell you, "we're going to let you acrue your time towards the pension, just no more contributions". The me-sters are starting to get worried I think because things are starting to affect them. You voted for the contract in April, the bailout in December and all thats coming. Did I hear right that 21 Million zollars in bonus' were handed out last year? When is enough, enough? When do we stop lining the pockets of exectutives that fail time and time again?

Isn't that funny you mention, I would rather take a layoff in KC than a transfer to Buffalo. I've been there and don't like it much.:tongue

In Buffalo we're finding out just how much we were lied to in the last contract. It's amazing to find that what is written in the contract is not the way it was negotiated. This is going to be a very interesting year for this COO.

Tighten up your belt and get ur done!!!!

Its time for everyone to give YRC a far days work for all the money you have made over the years slidding along. Let's get ur done folks!!!

Ain't we both content. By the way, I just got my recall letter and I am starting monday. If you are laid-off, I hope you get back to work soon.:smilie_132::clap:

Companies have always worked the remaing guys (after a layoff)50-70 hours rather than call in laid off people. They have determined that it is a cheaper way to go. If the senior girlie girls as you disrespectfully call them offered to work a three or four day week so the time could be evenly shared I can assure you that your company would not agree to it. Many of them (girlie drivers/dock men)may not like the forced hours but do so to move your freight and help the company survive these first crucial months of the merger so there will be jobs left when the economy turns around. Despite the merger and your individual terminal problems none of which would exist except for the real culprit in all of this which is the national economy God willing things will turn around and you all will work again soon. I started on the bottom of a board and after 27 years was at the top, both ends of the spectrum have problems but if you don't respect seniority and what it is entitled to despite what you perceive (and may be) wrong than your job and possibly the union are doomed to failure. Seniority is all you have as a union member and if you don't honor the senior men who have spent years to get where they are then you are a sorry union man and need to see how life is with some of the non union carriers.

Dido... Could not of said it any better. It's an EARNED right and a choice. I'll bet none of those senior men are working any more than they have to or need to, everyone's situation is different, far from your Utopia... ...prounion

Just curious, what color is the sky in your world? 10 and out, 10 and out, 10 and out. If these senior girlie girls would do that for 6 monthes they'd have to call in some extra guys. Nobody said or expects any senior man or girl to give up their 5 day week, but maybe you could hold off on that new Rolls a few monthes to spread a little of the wealth around. Would that really cramp your lifestyle that much? PS: The union has been doomed for some time now in the trucking sector, 550,000 down to what, 50,000. Now, if you clean toilets and mop floors, then the union of now can get you a minimun wage jobs with dues! Gotta love that jimmy!!!

Good post to this useless thread. I think it should have been the "poor me" thread. I am finally seeing the light here. To be continued.......

Exactly prounion. EARNED right and a choice, not given.

You were only willing to sacrifice a little of your time for six weeks yet you are asking those that have earned the right by seniority to sacrifice O/T pay for six months? Maybe you should try and keep track for six months rather than six weeks.

Well, then say what you mean. Me-ster is a derogatory term in your dictionary right? If they are Greedy Me-sters then call them that. Your posts equate girls/women with Me-sters. That sir is an insult to all girls/women by your own definition.

Now here comes the big question. How long you have been with YRC and who you were employed by before YRC?

Now here comes the big question. How long you have been with YRC and who you were employed by before YRC?

If you noticed even though he's been called out on numerous post he has never filled out the " ABOUT ME " part !!! Makes you go HUMM!!!

Also have you noticed that if someone doesn't get EXACTLY what they want then all the other people around them must be ME-STERS !! I am never surprised by all the NEW HIRES that think they should be able to BUMP all the senior people out of work UNTIL that same person get some seniority than its a whole different story ! I noticed this from some friends that came from CF they scream for an SENIORITY BOARD at CF But when CF went out of business they came to Big R and the same drivers wanted a WHEEL BOARD !
