De-certification petition??

If the company is allowing this it may be another ULP. Check with your local and find out. At the least they have set a standard to allow petitions to be passed that Teamsters may be able to take advantage of in the future. Then if they don't allow you to do it, that would be where another ULP could come from. You will need good documentation of these actions though. Good Luck.

This has been well documented in Portland as well as most of the other BS that they are pulling and handed over to the proper people. The companies actions are like they still feel they are above the law.:duh:

Hang in their, I think we are about ready to win this whole thing. Just remember that Ed and Dave are just humans, remember how they gave in on the last cotract ? This time it will take a little longer. In the future we need to strike when the contract expires, not a year or so later. That is being lenient. Leniency very seldom produces results !!!!

In a perfect world you would be correct. Problem is that if the strike would have happened at contract expiration, the would be working now and forever and all the members except for the crossers would not. The patience by the members and Union is what got the people back in there. If it would have been an economic strike (which would have been the case at expiration) the company could have permanently replaced the work force. We all know that was the companys intent but they failed because they hired incompetent managers who screwed up and were the reason the ULP's were filed.

Very true, and we have seen that incompitance runs rampant in joak harbor management, from the top all the way down! There are a FEW decent members of management, but it seems that joak harbor is insistant on running off any member of management that is worth a damn. Either that the worst of them use the good ones for the fall guys when the incompitant ones screw up bad enough for heads to roll. Typical joak harbor mentality, try to get rid of the good to replace with the favored. They will sink themselves with their own incompitence.

Patience and smart thinking will win the game here. I think we all know that, and the one thing we have to constantly remember is that we cannot allow ourselves to become our own worst enemies.

If they are pushing your buttons, don't react. If they ask you to jump, ask how high, and ask them to demonstrate for you so you can be totally sure you are understanding what they want of you. A good Teamster wants to be trained properly, after all.

Don't react emotionally. Don't get angry and blow up or freak out on management... that is what they are wanting and what they are waiting for. Do not hand them the gun AND the bullets to shoot you with.

Do document everything. Pass it on to your BA or team leader. Do keep your eyes and your ears open, and write down anything that might be pertinent or out of the ordinary. Time and information will give us the ammunition we need to win this fight, and that day is coming soon.

The VP's have run up quite a bill, and soon they will have to pay the fiddler...

This is the truth. We all just need to hang in there. We stood in the rain, now you are getting paid to hang in there. The company will have to do us right.

The union isn't perfect by any means, however any of you haters that keep trying to bring us down will get yours in the end. Your words mean nothing to us and ours will soon mean a whole lot to you, whether you want them to or not......

Do you people just lay there and dream up this **** and bull. OHHHHH the big secrets that the Union members know and no one else has a clue. What a Joke. You people crack me up. I am happy to go down with the VP's. Are you really happy going down with your leader? Get a life, quit with all your know it all (know nothing) attitude. It is starting to smell in here.

Denial is such a sad thing to witness, isn't it?

But I'm glad you are offering to go down with the VP's ship as their rusty, battered hulk starts to slide beneath the waves...

How poetic.

How... final.:TR10driving03:

I agree, just patronize the management. If we are patient we will win in the end. It may take a while longer. Look at winning this as a long term investment that will come to fruition !!!!

Dream on...you are not going to win anything and only fruit cakes believe that.

This post was about the decertification petitions. All of them were denied by the Labor board. So who is the fruit cake? :Off-Topic:

Maybe you need to read all the posts on this site and see how many off topics there really is young lady including some from you. :TR10driving03: again we are off topic.

Obfuscate away, management-boy... the company is screwed, and so are you. The company has violated labor law and our agreement which is protected under labor law nine ways to Tuesday.

The end is near. Better start jumping off of the ship like all good rats do when it's starting to sink... LOL!
