I am a 251 Toledo transplant on the turn board at 309. As of now I've been laying 31 hrs. and have had 4 trips this week. I'm not complaining. I hear that 26 extra board drivers didn't get out at all this week.

I hope and pray that things get ironed out and everyone at 309 (and throughout system) gets back to doing what we do best-moving freight. I'm desperately searching these boards hoping to find some good news. Perhaps I'm paying too much attention to the doomsdayers.

I'd very much like to hear some factual progress reports from around the country as well as Chicago. Emotions are running high and some times it's very hard to discern what's actually going on from all the posts on this board.

I'd like to thank the road stewards at 309. They've been on duty around the clock helping transplants with work rules, directions, and everything a driver needs to know.

I was given a phone number to call and arrange for my temporary housing lump sum check. I'm told I should have it Monday or Tuesday. Maybe the confusion over this check is finally coming to an end. Nevertheless, when we were told this check would be in our hands upon the first punch we were being lied to.

C'mon all of you infrequent posters (like me). What's going on out there? But please, just the facts.
 
Cve is getting back to normal. On March 1st we were overwhelmed with freight from our end of the month and from roadways end of month plus 2 days freight. Computers were down 6 hours on monday which put us behind. System is being taken down for awhile tonight. But things are getting better. Just takes time, on a merge of this size. It is one of those situations you deal with as it happens. No way to prepare for it. Unexpected problems.

The temp housing lum sum check is out now at most terminals if not all of them. It's the movers check and the automobile transportation check that are missing.....
 
I'm one of those extra board guys that never got out all week. I know the extra board was starting to move at 301 so hopefully I'll get out tonight. bur who really knows.
 
as much freight is at 309 you think everyone would be driing was called for seventh punch on dock for 1500 nonday but i have a date with a keg of old style the new old krausend old style yum yum
 
Can I have that Green Bay Packer Cone Head/ Cheese Head hat for a beer can that is on the upper left of that picture that I can only assume is you??? Please? Huh? can I? HUH?

p.s. Be careful...yer gonna poke yer eye out with that beer glass! (i.e. A Christmas Story)
