I propose a thread in which all the doom and gloomers (and the bitter guys who did not make the cut) stay out - and allow those of us who try to remain positive focus on what needs to be done.

this week has seen sabotage and more BS than I care to witness.


(Cleveland yard comes to mind as well as other locations...)

It is shameful that grown men and women behave and act like this.

Boy what a way to start of on the wrong foot "Jimmyhoffa".

Seems everyone at 653 is getting along and trying to help those who are struggling with the different system. We had 50 brought back off of layoff this weekend about 25-30 came in Sunday Morning. Now the Co. has to figure out the combined list of 681 laid off guys, dock and city, to go with 653 list of dock and city layoff. There are no Hostlers laid off at either one after Sunday.

Have you met my boy psycho yet? He transferred up there during the utility change and shouldn't be hard to notice. Real name Russell H.Tell him everyone from Charlotte says BEER. He'll understand.
 
I think it has finally dawned on alot of people Yellow andRoadway it is one company now and that we either sink or swim........Once the shock of all of this has passed if we can get through this next 2 weeks we are going to be a force to reckon with......just on PA turnpike I counted 30 trucks(2 pups) going to opposite direction....that is 60 loads...and that my friends is just the tips of the ice....I do think we are getting ready to bust out here real soon....
 
I concur. I stopped counting our sleeper trucks cruising west on I-40.....got bored doing it........(that's a good thing!)

It's sort of like we're The Brady Bunch... mom & dad got married & threw all of us step-children together in one family, & we have to learn how to get along & play together nicely... happily ever after. Now if only we had Alice to run things...hmmm. :popcorn::biglaugh:
 
On the good side I only had 6 customers express their EXTREME displeasure with the new and improving YRC.

On the bad side I only had 8 deliveries so the bad/good ratio ain't working out so far.

Another 10 road drivers called back at 241 That's GREAT News!! How many have been called back now? Last time I checked it was 53 deep down to #144 out of 197 men. My hillbilly math tells me 15 more called back and I'll be working again. Thanks for being positive and supportive though our hardships.
