Now how would they know, if according to KK,nothing has come out of the meetings??Sit back, pull your pants back on,and wait till you here something official before you start bit*hing. Most likely, you will hear it here first thanks to KK ..
According to analyst on reuters today, they are asking for a temporary termination and are not willing to give any thing in return.
By the way, who was bit*hing, if your that thin skined stay out of the rumor blog!
That's the problem. We shouldn't have to wait until tuesday to get the facts on an agreement reached on thursday. The Teamster leadership really dropped the ball on this one. They set the stage and created a fertile environment for rumors to run rampant by delaying the information that impacts the lives of so many members. Why do they have to fly the leadership of the locals in to have a meeting. This is preposterous. Don't they know about faxes, net meetings, conference calls. Big waste of money, let's party like it's 1999. The terms should have been out thurs. evening or friday at the latest. When they come out I'm expecting the agreement to be at least 300 or 400 pages because only that would justify this delay in my mind. Only an agreement of that complexity annd length would justify flying people to Chicago from all over the country to explain it to them.Too many people do not know what the word rumor actually means, being they read it hear and then go tell someone they read it on the internet so it by the time it gets down the road a piece it actually becomes fact to some, then some dopie analyst gets a hold of it,they wright a story about it,etc..:Off-Topic:I am sorry I ruffled your feathers
Nothing coming out of either YRC or the IBT so we all have to wait till Tues Even K.K. hasn't posted anything..gag order, nothing said period....
Hey Crazy I'm vacationing in Chicago this week. Do you think they would let me in with my Holland ID card? Probably not, right. GRIZZ
I'll see if I can make a few phone callsMaybe you can sell popcorn at the front door
This is my 'uneducated' guess about what is on the minds of those in the highest offices of YRCW. Here goes...a cutoff of a certain date they will continue to ensure Health and Welfare payments continue for Teamsters who are already retired and those who may be retiring soon or in the near or not too distant future. Those who hired on after that cutoff date will be on a separate plan. Whatever that plan may be. UPS did it and YRCW wants to do it too. Just a guess but I think it is a good one. It would keep some sort of benefit for alot of Teamsters who are not retiring soon.
