so much for sleeping on the job for hours at a time and delaying the freight! Guess we have to come to work rested. Damn...so much for my day job flippin' burgers at sonic!

You didn't show the hack job to the headliner for the antena. Installs are complete on all our tractors. And we don't have a shop.

yes you are right hack job in so many words is being nice,i have screws falling out of my dash and clips that are broken, and i have so many rattles in my dash its driving me crazy, but they don't care,so when the dash starts falling apart i'll just throw the peices out the window.

That's too funny! Our mechanics can't take things off or put things back together correctly either.

Don't litter our public roads with plastic! They don't breakdown.
Someone 300 years from now might find that piece and think they found a fossil.

look for antenna on roof.

you know you have gps and two way communication between truck and someone watching, if you see a small black 2 inch antenna on the roof on the opposite side that the radio antenna is on, front right or left corner of roof.you are being watched..FRUNKUSSSS!!!

Nice pics Packrat !!!! Thanks !!! Was wondering where the new rattles came from in a normally very nice quiet truck.......

Dang, you would think taking the tractor apart to that degree would void Volvo's warranty in some fashion///

Very true Familyman,,,, I know not even the Space Shuttle is perfect,,,, but after working on multi-million dollar aircraft,,, and driving trucks for 30+ years,,, these Volvo's are pretty darn nice...... Would be even nicer if fedex would leave them alone,,,,, but I guess I understand,,,, in the money-saving thing..... sort of...... Nice to have a decent motor under the hood,,, unlike the Underpowered red racers..... (even after fedex cut the n+tts off them.....) . LOL

I have an Antennae and some coax rolled up behind the drivers seat. Arent we supposed to be able to use this thing? Isnt there a display?

Hey Guys, I was told Big Brother is trying to make up their minds which "brick" we are going to use. They have 2 or 3 that they are looking at, each one with different features. When they pick one, then the coil of wire behind the seat will dissapear and you will be issued a "brick"
to talk to the truck, (bluetooth) and HRO. The
"brick" will be your display.

Thanks and your welcome River17!
I like reading stuff like this and passing it along. Helps to keep people informed.

Anyone know the brand FX is using? I know the link DW has is not the one since it is satellite based and FX is cell based. Found one site saying that the unit cost was around 400 bucks and monthly fees are 20-40 bucks. I'm sure they got a deal, wink wink, but I'll bet it still cost a bunch.

All I heard was that FXF went the cheap route with the cellular based system that does not work nationwide (many dead spots).
The satellite based service being a little more expensive probably works as good as your Sirius/XM which is almost everywhere.
