I heard they laid off even more. Does anyone know if the situation is getting better in Dallas or is the freight returning? All my friends are laid off so no way of knowing whats going on. I got a job and ran into a couple of drivers in Alabama. They said it was the first run in a month. Seemed like things were turning around from talking to them

At KCM they are redirecting some freight for Dallas into OKC. Was told by S.O.M. because of labor issues but who really knows the truth with this company.

"The first run of the month" and things are "turning around". For all of y'all that don't know, freight usually picks toward the end of the month, every month.

They still got men laid off, both road and city. The company is doing all they can to shut down the old country club. Minimal work being sent through that they can get by with.

Hate to say it but things are tough all over the system. Dallas is just one more city. I've been laid off from YRC since oct. last year and am currently hauling produce from the west coast back to STL. I see alot of sleeper trucks running I-40,I-10, and I-80 but that isd about it. I have been seeing more day cabs along these routes but it still seems slow. Just heard this week that YRC sold the Roadway terminal in STL. I cannot figure this one out but that seems to be the case. We have almost 100 drivers laid off here in STL out of a 185 man board approx. That doesn't bode well. We have just barely enought to cover the bids.

Just wondering...which STL terminal was bigger, Roadway or Yellow?

If Okc. is getting Dallas Freight we can't see it. We still got a bunch laid off but we have enough guys working O.T. and 6th and 7th days to lay off more. YRC has won in OKC, unless some O.T. guys have a heart attack or something, more layoffs coming soon.

Gotta wonder how its getting there if that were true. The sign in sheets at KCM show only one or two OKC drivers a day usually. I go with the Glen Moore theory. As I mentioned in another post, I've seen as many of them with YRC freight,as YRC trucks lately.
