They put me to bed at 135 from 218 (5.5 to 6.00 hour ride). When I got back to 218 they (dispatchers) looked at me like...huh? 135 put you to bed?" I tell you at 135 there were guys that were supposed to go to Pine Brook NJ (via)". They were put to bed. 'I was on an open' 'I got put to bed'. What is going on with this? anyone? anyone?:shift:

Your's is not to reason why!!! You'rs is to do or die

sounds like PNJ wanted to get their drivers out or the company wanted to run Glen Moore loads out of the east.

I got put to bed

When I was put to bed the dispatcher 'mumbled' layoff (I am not kidding He said 'you are open but I am putting you to bed...yadaydayda layoff... that is all I could decifer...18 hours later...I am posting on Jeffs' website!!:shift:

When I was out of BUF, I woke up in NRM, sent me to BOS, and the dispatcher tossed me a T card and called the taxi. So I filled out the card and went. The terminal called the cab company and had them bring me back before I got to the hotel. They *****ed me out, sent me down the road, and when I got back Larry tried to give me a letter. FOR DOING WHAT I WAS TOLD TO DO!

It sounds like what is happening here is that 135 was protecting their own work Because they have nearly 125 drivers on layoff. If they used you to run east or in their district then there would have been a runaround and the Co. would have had to pay a Man a days wage.
I have to admit I respect Local 776 Stewards for keeping on top of this.
My question is who is primary from 218/257 to 135? If it is 135 then I would ask why the Co. ran a Cleveland driver over another relays primary. It is only asking for trouble.
Remember it was the Company who set up this last C.O.O. that says who is primary where. I know that every time an Ohio driver comes to my Terminal I File on it if I had anyone availible to do the work.
Rule #1. PROTECT YOUR WORK!

Thankyou!!

I was hoping\hell, PRAYING someone would answer this question correctly. And you did. 218 sent 3 (three) of us (2) open...(1) to bed...we all went to bed. Now...who does the shuffliing? Central Dispatch Office, right? My BA (JW) says he can not do a damn thing about a foreign driver coming in to 218 and taking freight when we have 145 (One Hundred and Forty Five Drivers) layed off and I am one of them...do you get why I am voicing here?

I do understand. And I know how frustrating it can be. But I can only try to protect the members in my barn. Just as 135 can only protect their Drivers.
I hope somebody at Overland Park reads this because if Central Dispatch contunes to run against the primary and let Drivers at the Primaries lay at home then they deserve everything they get. This is why there have been over 2000 runaround claims that I know about against the Company. It dosen't take the brightest bulb in the pact to see this and to file against it.

4.5 hours into tour 135 put me to bed . I am on the turn board. Dispatcher said CDO said put me to bed , don't wait 3 hours for next thru load to arrive . Did this to 2 others same nite .Got 8 hours mini ,11 hours in bed (held me over rest) and 8 hours mini for the drive back to 123.
Very inconvenient , but $$$ in my pocket. They will go broke if they keep this up.

I'm guessing that CDO never read the change or the contract.
Because they seem to think they can do whatever the hell they want and there will be or repercussions when they cancel a driver at the end of the line and then run forgein power into that EOL terminal. That is the only reason they have over 2000+ grievances on runaround and the labor people are cry'in that they have no money to pay.
Well here's a clue CDO & Labor, Follow the damn Change of operations, Honor the Primaries, Run empties when you insist that linehaul work 6 days a week out of a terminal that is only a 5 day operation and maybe the problem goes away. Don't keep voliateing the COO thinking that nothing will happen.
Good GOD what the hell is the matter with you people? Your just giving money away!

When 135 was primary to 107 it was a 5 day turn 612 miles. Then we got the primary and all of a sudden the bid becomes a lay down.So now they pay us a meal, the cost for the hotel and pay us 8 hours for working 5 hours. And better still 135 is primary to MTC 145 which is only 12 miles east of 107 and they turn it sometimes with a via through 107.What a waste of time in money. It's no wonder were going broke!

They got me again

I left CVE on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. I pulled out of RFO with two loaded pups. One for Harrisburg and a time critical for Lancaster...I was dispatched to Lancaster...Harrisburg was a via. Want to hear about waisting money, lehigh? Harrisburg is Pissing It Away! I got to Harrisburg...left my bags in my tractor (I was already hooked to the hot pup for LCP). Guy at the window (dispatcher) was crying to me "get your bags out of your truck, we slip seat here"! I says I am on a via and going to LCP with a time critical pup. He says "we didn't see it on the computer. You are turning and going to CVE". I get my stuff, get my bills for CVE and they say "OH...you did have a time critical for LCP...don't worry we'll take care of it...you are already dispatched for CVE". I said yep, I guess you will take care of it. I ran out of hours at PGH and went to bed...The two pups HSB gave me were time critical to CGB. Someone care to explain this one to me? I didn't even bother to file...I got more miles than if I had gone to LCP. So much for saving money YRC. :nutkick: :eck13:

301 miles Vman!!

V, the mileage, when you start CVE and go to RFO, and back to the pike (10 extra) is 311 miles. It is do able depending on traffic, construction, load and governor on the tractor!!
