If our pension benefits are cut after we have already retired then the re-eployment rules should not apply any more......Retirees have based their life styles with their guaranteed monthly checks and if this is decreased then a retiree should be able to makeup the difference by working any where they need too........nuff said............

Look for this in your mail box, Teamster Members. This should be one of the mailings we get periodically that explains what is going on with our benefits. The pension plans have to give us this info by law.

As I have posted before the Trustees who run this fund are only PAWNS for the GOVERNMENT . The fund is overseen by the
Independent Special Counsel which has the FINAL word on what happens !!!!

I don't agree with the Rules no matter what the pension fund is doing.
I can see some rules against working for non union carriers for example but they are way too strict.
Heck I probably cant even mow my neighbors grass for a sixpack.

I back all the retirees
My dad retired from Yellow (35 years. Got some of the time from Norwalk (NTL). I will have 8 years with Yellow (now YRC) in August. I am trying to look out for your retirement, believe me. I retired from the Army. I keep thinking what if the government decides to stop paying vets someday? Believe me...I know what is happening because I am well tuned. I pay attention to what is happening. I have threads and posts here trying to tell people about this benefit problem we are going to face. Go ahead...research all of my posts...one of the things I have said is before we (the active employees) let the retired employees loose (lose?) what they have (since retirement...we (the active) may have to think about giving something up for the ones who are not working anymore...I get my head chopped off when I mention this. I have admitted that I voted NO on the givebacks, but I am not willing to see my dad lose (loose) his benefits while I still have a chance to do something about it. Legacy contracts...guys do not know what a legacy contract is. I will fight for you electraglideatl. It's just hard to get others to listen, my brothers and sisters.
