Central Transport | Ad for linehaul drivers in Pittsburgh

I see the pay is .38 with 2 years safe driving with haz Mat. That is a pity and I would be embarrassed to even post this.

.38 LMAO

that ad is all lies, there is no 401k match, no such thing as profit sharing and last I thought all new employees are vitran employees (please correct me if i'm wrong)

There has been an ad in the paper in Roanoke, Va. for linehaul recently. I'm going down there in the morning with driving record in hand to feel out an application.

if YOU needed a job it wouldnt be so funny . granted it aint that much but im pretty sure a grand a week (2600 miles times 38 cpm = 988)
is better than unemployment . i could be wrong though ? :nutkick:

Pittsburgh is hiring

it's good to hear somebody is looking for help. i miss the days when companies couldn't get the help they needed.

Same here! They had an ad running last week....
PJAX, INC. LTL regional trucking has openings for F/T CDL class A city drivers with hazmat, 2 years safe driving. Full-time includes:

? Start rate $16.63/hr + ot

? BlueCross/BlueShield medical benefits

? Free life/long term disability insurance

? 401 (k)

? Paid holidays, vacations & personal days

Applications accepted 7/20/09-7/24/09 9:00am to 4:00pm.

I applied but haven't heard anything yet. I was interviewed on the spot and asked if I could road test during the week. I had made several calls and found out they are going to start calling this week.

Good or bad, I could use the work!

401 k yes but no match.

ot yes after 45 hours worked that means no ot if you have a day off because of vacation, personnel or holiday.

Paid hollidays yes.

vacation yes

personnel day yes 4 per year

insurance yes but its not cheap and its not that good

Good luck getting it but you would be a lot better off if you want to a good company take this from a guy that has been here over 10 years.

Oh damn it! I talked with a guy in Ohio and he tells me his health insurance is pretty cheap (in my opinion). He has a wife and two kids and pays 60 a week...That to me is cheap. BCBS nonetheless...That is what I have now through the wife.

I just want to get my foot in the door pretty badly...I know there is good and bad with every company. When I was hauling mail, we got paid well, but didn't get insurance (unless you can afford 800-1000 per month), no personal days, no sick days, work on EVERY holiday, NO 401k, NO overtime, etc. I liked it pretty well.....but PJAX beats sitting at home!

its 3 this year . 4 next year .. by the time a new guy rates a pd he will get 4 .. that add didnt lie !

Coming from the mail contractors I ran for, ANY benefits are nice!!!

On a side note, my start date has been delayed, damn it all....I had an outpatient procedure done on my leg and safety thought it would be better if I rested it for a few days....I guess that's ok; I still have a job to start soon! It is just frustrating because had I known this would delay me, I would have waited.

On a side note, THANK YOU MR. KECK!!!:hyper:
