whats going on with 120/dorrance ???????????????:

I am not sure as of yet. Shop stewart said the numbers were not right. We will be split between Pinebrook,Allentown, Maybrook, and the rest to Dorrance.

Still waiting to see what happens to the inactive men.:puke::eck15:

How are you going to slip into Maybrook when their only gaining 5 city jobs that are coming from 107?It should be follow your freight no?

when did this come about because i did not see anything about dorrance in the coo? last i heard was local school district was looking at property?

Read Jeff's "hot off the fax" thread. Lots of info there. It looks like Scranton is gaining 27 with 120 losing 36. There is no mention of a Wilkes-Barre or Dorrance term. Yellow (before the merge) covered a lot of the upper territory serviced by RDWY 120,from Scranton. As far as I know YRC has not reopened a terminal they've closed. I guess it's wait and see.

I can remember at one time over 1000 Teamsters worked at 120/R64/G94. When I started there we were told it was the largest Breakbulk in the U.S.
Anything Roadway moved east of Stroudsburg or north of Kearny N.J. (111) went through 120. There was no running the NY State Thruway to Buffalo! No way in Hell would they pay a toll they didn't have too! That includes all of New England and the NY/NJ metro area plus eastern Canada. They ran that operation tight! If they could get out of paying a nickle in tolls then BAM! You were on some damn cowpath of a back road! 400+ outbound loads a night were not uncommon.
I can remember trucks lined up out on Rt715 waiting for a place to park as the yard was so packed you could not move. I remember that we had a Yard Jockey who's only job was to "tighten up" the drop pads for 10 hours a day. 6th punches and 2 hours overtime a night? Count on it! They owned you for 58 hours and 6 days a week!
I went past the place the other day and it reminded me of a large railroad classifacion yard that was not used. Just sitting there. It's only reason for being was to provide a home for birds.
It's sad. I'll miss the friends who are now scattered to the wind all over the system trying to keep their jobs. And yes there are people who worked there, (Both Management & Teamsters) who can go to H#$@! It was an experance that, Well, You had to work there to understand. And while 120 is no more than a goast town on it's last leg it will seem strange to work for a company that has no Stroudsburg.
Times change!

Honest, accurate thoughts.

You have stirred long ago fond memories of what Roadway once had been for the little burb of Stroudsburg.

WHAT A SHAME to see the Big R no longer @ Tannersville, just off the Rt 715 exit off I-80,now reduced to nothing more than bird houses for the sparrows.... I never thought I would see the day....
