Just a note to everyone that this may apply to.

To all of the city drivers who spend more time trying to get out of work, than they actually spend working. To those who live way beyond their financial means, and constantly steal time from the company, trying to support their spending habit. We'll see you in the Unemployment line.

To the line haul drivers that stop for their break, two miles from their destination terminal, just to delay the freight. To the line haul drivers that will do anything possible to get past their "click" for lay over pay. We'll see you in the unemployment line.

To the dock workers that would risk damaging a piece of freight, rather than get off the forklift to protect the freight by using the proper handling equipment. And to the dock worker who could care less about the load that he is loading. We'll see you in the Unemployment line.

To the dock supervisors who make the poor business decisions, trying to take care of your favorite drivers, instead of making good business decisions that are in the best interest of the company. And to the dock supervisors that are costing the company money by adding to their favorite drivers overtime, even when they are not needed, instead of sending them home. We'll see you in the Unemployment line.

To the terminal managers who watch your terminal fall apart structurally and financially, but refuse to make any proper business decision changes. To the terminal managers that refuse to run their terminal like it's their own business, instead you sit back and watch it crumble as though you don't have a dime invested. To the terminal managers that have just given up on their operation. We'll see you in the unemployment line.

To the regional managers who oversee the operations that are failing, yet do absolutely nothing to correct the problems. To the regional managers who are too busy kissing your boss' backside trying to move up the corporate ladder, instead of looking good by overseeing your operations, and taking corrective action. To the regional managers who don't have the guts to take corrective action against the managers that you oversee. We'll see you in the Unemployment line.

To the corporate executives who have more concern for your own massive paycheck and bonus. To the corporate executives that could care less about how many lives you destroy, while only worrying about your own self interests. To the corporate executives who can not understand that the blue collar people are what makes a company successful. To the corporate executive who fails to promote a team atmosphere. We'll see you in the Unemployment line.

It's been a good ride.
We'll see you in the Unemployment line.

I hear you can apply over the Internet nowadays so I am looking forward to not seeing those folks.
In Michigan, I think that you only have go into the unemployment office to sign up. After that you can do it via the telephone or internet. We will probably get to try the system soon.

In Illinios you can apply over the internet and then its phone calls from there to verify if you qualify every 2 weeks

Well, I think I will go out into the garage, find a hose that fits my trucks exhaust, fire it up, and take a long nap. So much for being upbeat about a beautiful day.:ranting2:

What's your point? We all do what we can humanly possible. But when hedge fund managers have insurance on debt owed for more that the debt's worth, They want to fail to make a profit. Thank your repuglican president Ronaldo Reaganini for allowing this type of business dealings to take place as never before in the history of our Great Nation!
Don't blame us workers for what these management of Reagans dream economy have done... That's class War Fare... As Warren Buffet said... his side's winning and you and me pick up the crumbs.
But don't blame the workers DANG!::shit:::eck13:

Yeah shoeman looks like everybody else but northern flash are to blame for the company's' demise.i guess he forgot about yrc and zollars because as far as i know holland made millions with all of us deadbeats under-performing.maybe northern flash should sell his glass house because he has a stone driveway!

your representation is only as good as your members ....
i would be embarrassed N. F ..
N.F. ... ask benny and the rest of your fellow workers and teamster members for forgiveness
SHAME SHAME :biglaugh:

That is the problem with our Union now. This is a general statement about my opinion. I do not think many of you would understand Brotherhood if it hit you in the face. Stop thinking about ME, ME, ME! It should be WE, WE, WE will NOT stand for these assaults on our Brothers from the company, our Union or our Government. I think everyone should stop begging for those last few jobs. We should be more dedicated to our craft and our Union. We should be Organizing. We should be demanding the Employee Free Choice Act. We should be demanding that our Leadership stop bad decisions like allowing UPS out of our Pension fund and not gaining UPS Freight into our Pension fund. I am on layoff and I have been contacting everyone I know trying to get support for the Employee Free Choice Act. I have contacted my Senators and Congressman. What have you done for your Brothers, other than telling them MY PENSION AND JOB is more important than the lifetime of work and Dedication and sacrifice you made to help me get what I have today? If my Brothers Pension is gone then I have NO pension, that is my view and it should be the same view of EVERY TEAMSTER. Stop begging, grow a pair, live the principles of Brotherhood, and we will overcome these difficult times. United We bargain, Divided We Beg!! It is never too late.

Fix this and the rest will correct its self.

Don't do it shoe. I don't think that you're one of them that I spoke of.

What's your point?
I will help you. The point is that what goes on every day, at every position, will more than likely put us in the unemployment line. We can also take responsibility for our actions.
But don't blame the workers DANG!::shit:::eck13:
You can not possibly believe that we all put in a fair days work for a fair days pay. Are the management the only ones to blame for our struggles? NO. I know what I see every day. Shouldn't we take responsibility for our work ethic? We can't fix their stupidity, but we can control our own actions.

Yeah shoeman looks like everybody else but northern flash are to blame for the company's' demise.
You must have missed the point. I shouldn't have to explain the point that I was making. By the way, I never said or insinuated that I was perfect, but I do my job.
i guess he forgot about yrc and zollars because as far as i know holland made millions with all of us deadbeats under-performing.
Let's see......I think YRC and Zollars both fit under the Corporate Executive category.
maybe northern flash should sell his glass house because he has a stone driveway!
Wow. You're on a roll. Very impressive. But, you clearly missed the whole point of the post.

just a thought hear guys.....you aint dead yet....could you become employee owned...northwestern railroad did it i think....then were bought out by norfolk-southern...

i would be embarrassed N. F ..
I have nothing to be embarrassed about. But, some folks should be ashamed of themselves if they shut our doors. Because they have contributed to a lot of Teamsters losing their job.
N.F. ... ask benny and the rest of your fellow workers and teamster members for forgiveness
SHAME SHAME :biglaugh:
You aren't trying to rally everyone against me are you?:biglaugh:
I make no apologies for doing my job and trying to help this company to survive. So far, the TB members seem to think that we are all out their busting our tail every day. If everyone thinks that we are all giving a fair days work for a fair days pay, it is no wonder why we are struggling as a company, based on what I witness every day.

By the way, I seem to have struck a nerve with the hard working brothers. But, it you go back and re-read my original post, I included everyone from top to bottom. Not just the Union guys.

I did leave out the worthless salesmen, and the worthless Union representatives. But, they both will end up in the unemployment line also.

But like every other category that I listed. There are some good ones.

If this company that I love to work for (Holland) goes down, at least I can say I have done my part. I run hard and don't open that drivers door. The yard guys can set a clock on me to be in an hour before my ETA. They laugh about it but thats just the way I roll! Who cares, never mind!

Same here. I do a very good job everyday. I can hold my head high if we do fail. It won't be my fault. Not to mention, if I do have to go work somewhere else, I won't have to change a thing. :shift: (if you look close, the icon has a smile on his face)
