With the zeal of the former (⊙▃⊙) regime, various US Government agencies with unchallenged authority, took down more than 75 websites without due process of law.

Armed with an ambiguous warrant, the Fed's took down sites that allegedly violated copy right laws.

Domains are being seized at will without due process courtesy of the censorship bill’ COICA that is not enacted yet as a law by congress.

UPDATE: RushLimbaugh.com and Hannnity.com have been re-directed to Huffingtonpost.com. Looks like Barry means business!

A quick viewing of the sites involved would lead me to believe they were a bunch of counterfeit brand name knock-off sites. Good riddens. There are no (⊙▃⊙) regimes in the US. Pretty childish rant.

You put a lot of thought into that reply didn't you...

SuperCourse... You put a lot of thought into that reply didn't you...

So it's ok for the Feds to come in and seize your property without due process?

Are you nuts?

Lets say you own a truck and trailer and you are parked at a truckstop. The feds come over and seize your truck with no prior notice. Even though the cargo is legit, they seize it anyway.

Now you have no way to work, you have obligations to meet but now you cannot.

Now thru this (⊙▃⊙) process you have been deprived.

Again I say... SuperCourse... You put a lot of thought into that reply didn't you...

This is all about the RIAA and the MPAA. These movie people and recording artists have been making way too much money for way too long. I'm an old fashioned pirate. I rarely if ever buy software or music. Why when I can pirate it? If they didn't want me using it they should have used better methods to protect me from copying it.

They shut down a bunch of torrent sites pointing you in the right direction essentially for free music. I know what the courts have ruled about torrents, but its kinda stupid I think. We still have the thepiratebay.org in the seychelles or whatever country its in. Piracy will never go away. Its a pointless effort.

If I have to I will send usb keys thru the mail. What are they going to do then? Raid the post office for enabling piracy?

Nice try, but your analogy doesn't fit because the load was legit, the theft of copyrighted intellectual property is illegal. If they found illegal cargo on the truck, they would and should confiscate the truck. We are a nation of laws, thank God, that's is in some ways what seperates us from the chaos you see elsewhere in the world. If you don't want to live by the rules, go somewhere else.

The biggest question I had was torrent-finder.info. You can still go to the seized website if you dare(they might be collecting ip addys). It still has a list of all the torrent websites it searched. What are they trying to prevent here? Its no different than google. Theres no copyrighted material on this site.

The other question I had was the rest of these sites are companies selling knock off jerseys, watches and handbags. There are a couple selling scarfs though that were seized. Counterfeit scarfs? WTH? Maybe I am not that into fashion and don't realize the name brand scarf business?

Torrents are a mixed bag, a lot of torrented software is full of malware, it may look like it's free but but the guys cracking the copy protection aren't working for free or out of the kindness of there hearts. Then there are the Music and Movie torrents, if you're downloading it for free instead of buying it you have to have at least a suspicion it's not right. Most sites that search torrents are actually searching their own servers to make sure your linked to their Malware
