Is there an website wher you can type in UN number, weight and other info and it will tell you what placards(if any) you need to have?

As far as a website I am not sure if there is one. Each terminal should have the Haz Mat book in the dispatch office for the drivers to reference as in what they need to placard ... or a chart posted at a sector stand ... if these are not available for your use you need to contact a supervisor that will follow through to make sure these are done.

If you want to order a book for your own personal use you can find one here Safety And Regulatory Compliance, DOT And OSHA Workplace Safety Regulations - J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc.

This is the book ...Handling Hazardous Materials Detail - J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. 370-H,370-HSP

You can go to this DOT web site and see if any thing here will work for you. You can download software for your PC or a Microsoft OS phone. You will need to down load net frames on your PC before before this will work but it works good on my PC. You can search ID#, proper name and others. Here is the site.

PHMSA - Library - Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG)

Hope this helps.
