they are watching driver, they can hear all your phone calls to all your little trucker buddies too

really, thats crazy i wonder where the mic is.

the mic is your bluetooth phone, it is grabbing those encrypted signals from the air and decrypting them. So now you know, that weird stuff you are talking to your "friends" will be heard by central

GE's "EDEN SYSTEM"

I know this unit uses both satellite for tracking and cellular for transmitting data. Guess it has blue-tooth capabilities as well.
I don't think it is listening in on our calls but might be able tell when your phone is in use. Actually listening in would be against the law and a violation of our rights.
I know the basics of how this unit works but think there is still a lot more I don't.

how can a device that has to be approved to connect to another device be "able to tell" when a phone is in use?

The device is not in search mode, it is not searching for bluetooth devices to pair with.

also you phone can only accept one bluetooth connection at a time

All I stated is the in truck unit might be able to tell when another cellular device is being used in the cab.

only if you phone is in discover mode

I did not mean while the blue tooth was powered up. Just the cellular signal.

I did however set my phone to search last night and it came up with my truck #, source computer and the unit address.

I'm not worried, just found it interesting.

Man, if anybody discovers those little hidden miniature camera's mounted in the dash that they are watching you with, I'm afraid some drivers may stroke out.
