Union members would have to approve any proposed changes to the Teamsters' national freight agreement. Relax Sir, we may have the no's..but I doubt it All my life, whenever it comes time to make a decision, I make it and forget about it. We must build a new world, a far better world -- one in which the eternal dignity of man is respected

Pension deferrment shouldnt be negotiated to be on a chopping block......If for some reason the Ibt and the company agree that a cut from somewhere needs to be made, please let the pensions be free from any cuts......If a member says he doesnt care about his or her pensions then they are lying......Pensions and insurance should not be compromised......we have all sweated blood for these benefits and something else has to be done......nuff said.....:TR10driving03::TR10driving03:

check it out

three dollar (phony) bill has the IBOT exactly where he wants us. Unless you are willing to stand in front of your terminal with a picket sign and not let anyone in or out of your terminal....the joke is on us. Even locals 705 and 710 have decided to accomodate the almighty two dollar (phony) bill.

Teamsters Out.

BOTTOM LINE.....What ever happens this week, you will get a ballot to vote on ANY changes to the NMFA......if you don't vote....don't....well you know....KK

This week can be 'this week' or 'this weak'

What is it going to be James? week or weak? We can only vote on what you concede or gain...nothing else, James...Are you going to give your membership something we can be proud of? At least make us proud to be Teamsters. James. Tyson.

Well I just called. A woman in the freight division office took my message. If it gets passed on or trashed is anyones guess.
Basically I told her that the IBT should not entertain any talks with YRC for anymore givebacks or pension deferrals as long as YRC still has a 65% ownership of a chinese trucking company and they have YRC logistics who is under cutting our pricing and is in a hiring mode while the Union companies have many memebers on layoff.
Hopefully many of us will let them hear the same thing... And if they don't listen...the last choice is VOTE NO!!

just got off the phone and told them basicly the same thing

Thank you too, for calling!......KK

You mean that Chinese trucking company that is actually making money. Some of you just don't have an f'ing clue. Who give's a crap if they own a company in China. It's making money which is helping you stay employed. This is a GLOBAL economy.

if its making money they should be able to get a good profit from it and pay the bills the need to pay

It gets frustrating doesn't it! Hang in there!

Maybe a few might learn something eventually (we can only hope)!

I thought once we gave 10% that we would have the chance to organize YRC logistics and glen moore. i forgot owner operators same as fed ex - rps . where's the IBT HMmmmmmmmmmmmat lets see golf outings , vegas , counting the dues money. our forfathers would beat us with the bat instead of the companys bosses. good luck everybody.
