I believe that YRC may continue to struggle, as most companies are right now, but I believe that they will stay in business...I believe the worst is behind them...

lets hope all of us will be able to handle it!!!!!!!!! And on that note lets wish our fellow drivers good luck with all the crap that is going on with that company, got alot of good friends with yrc:clap::TR10driving03:

What I do not understand is why anyone would wish the demise of another company.Although I have really never heard or have I ever seen a Vitran truck before reading about them here on Truckingboards ..I have read that they were not doing very well themselves, having to give big discounts just to get some freight or as some other guys on these boards have stated, steal some freight..Just think about this before you get what you wish for..YRC is the largest freight company under the NMFA of which sets the standards for what WE ALL get compensated..Take that away, and it will be a race to the bottom for all the rest...So be careful for what you wish for....

Probably because they dont let us go to the "drunken state", dispatchers can go there but the drivers stay out to late to have time to go there.

And Vitran is doing good? between closing Barns and the junk they call equipment on the road, whose to say they will be around.

2.26 was the lowest price on vitran this year and now your at 9.42,what makes you think yrc wont do the same.read the fine lines about your stock before you speak.like i said before who is vitran.

Trucker,
Vitran is out of canada, they bought Pjax over a year to help vitran get into the midwest and eastern states. Vitran also owns Chris which is the western division.

As for closing barns, most of that was consolidating both Vitran and Pjax terminals into one barn.

As for the equipment, i wasnt to impress with the vitran tractors when they merged our barns but them again, i cant stand pulling some of the Pjax trailers just because some of them look so bad. But like any comapny, we have some tractors that are just over a year old and still look and run good and we have some that probably should be heading for the scrap yard but they keep fixing them until someone sends us something to replace it with.
