Rush is wrong. Not because of what he does in his personal life. Not because he has solid beliefs. He is wrong for his inability to stray from party.
In Washington today, you don't have to follow Congress too long to hear the insurmountable divide between Democrats and Republicans. It has come to the point where many good pieces of legeslation have been killed by the opposing parties launching negative PR attacks solely because the opposing party started it and would get the credit. BOTH parties are practicing this destructive poloticking by party. It has left the country falsley divided. Given the opportunity, the American public would agree on the vast majority of issues. We are assaulted however with negative PR attacks based solely on party. Congress (no matter who is in the majority) seems to feed on this to have some "out" on accountability. They use it as a way to escape acctually having to do something productive.
We argue about gay marriage when our infrastructure is crumbling. We argue about abortion when the majority of our public schools are on par with 3rd world countries. The issues we are arguing about cost practically nothing to argue about where the problems would take the money out of the political pork barrels.
That is why Rush is wrong and all those on the right AND the left. We need to find our common ground so we can start being productive again instead of arguing while our jobs, money, intelectual property continue to flee the country.
Remember??? United we stand, divided we fall?? Stop endorsing division PLEASE!
