go to trucking Industry News and read. apparently a man was seen vidiotaping a truck on I 24 and the driver tried to run him off the road and the vidio man shot at the trucker and got arrested for reckless endangerment and aggravated assult.now they are charging him with attempted murder charges.they do have his name and a picture of him on there.

It's very possible this is the same guy that's been filming us because he's from the same area that most of the videos are shot from.
The article says the guy is from Chickamauga and that's just outside of Chattanooga on I-24.

I hope so too. Hopefully he is convicted, and all of the corporations who contributed to this lowlife are published, so the employees of said corporations know what kind of scumbag operation they work for. And, yes, I wouldn't be surprised if Fred Smith was a major contributor to his financial well being.

I think he's had an agenda against truck drivers all along and this was he's chance to finaly shoot at one of us. All he needed was someone to make a move and he thought he had a good excuse, but not good enough.

I heard Fred bailed him out,and has his lawyers working to acquit this scumbag.

If Fred or the company were supporting him, why on earth would they allow the videos to be PUBLIC on youtube. That is one conspiracy theory that never has and never will pass the most basic of smell tests.

oaf (sniff sniff)

This guy extorted companies, and utilized slander to continue his extortion. "If you don't pay me for the video's, I'll post them on you tube and make your company look bad" was his technique.

I have to agree that I dont believe fedex has this guy on the payroll. But after I was filmed and had my meeting with the head of safety I was told that he knows this guy personally, that he is a professional, good at what he does, and knows what he is doing. I dont think the head of safety knows what the heck he's talking about. This guy shot at this driver in june and didnt start putting his videos on youtube until july and you think he's a good guy. Hes got a real good reason to go after truck drivers and to make us look as bad as possible, and to possible incite more drivers to attack him to try and make a case in court of the so called danger he is putting himself in for the betterment of the motoring public. I hope the driver he shot at sues him for a butload of moola. Even the police said this guy is the dangerous one according to the news report. This guy thinks because some one swerved their truck at him its open season on truck drivers, And our company representative thinks he's got a good head on his shoulders. I know some of drivers he has video where driving pretty bad, i also know in my case and a lot of others that he used his zoom to make it look like we were closer than it appeared. You get very little side shots which show a different story. I think these last several months since his arrest are some kind of lame brain attempt to make him look like a highway hero out on the road filming renegade truckers drivng like outlaws putting his life in danger to protect everyone else. And if our safety knows this guy personally. did they know he had taken a shot at this truck driver? I would like to know the answer to that question.

IDE like to see the video that got him arrested. Hopefully his boyfriend in prison likes to share with the other inmates.

Sounds like we employ a clown in safety that is proud to know a convict such as the one in jail now for shooting up a truck driver. Doesn't shock me, though, I must say. If you want to know whether our 'safety' (I use that term loosely) manager knows about the guy in question now being in jail brought up on murder charges, why don't you call him and ask him? If you don't want to call him, leave his initials here on the board and I'll call him myself and ask and then I'll post it here for all to read. In my opinion, any fella that takes a job in safety is a fella that couldn't hack it as a truck driver to begin with. Here at FedEx Freight the safety manager position is a puppet. He'll tote that company line to the end.
Do I have an ax to grind? Nope. Zero accidents, zero moving violations in 21 years. Just saying.

It used to be common practice, that if another motorist called the company with a complaint and could supply correct equipment#'s, time and location. You would be observed and sometimes it was documented by video. This occurred within 30 days of complaint. IND and STL regions.

SleepWalker, is this definintely the same guy that was filming our guy's? The same guy narrating the videos on Thirdeye? Lord I hope so

I have the sleeze ball trucker spy address if anyone is interested. It would be nice if we could get someone in the Chattanooga area to check out his address and video the house and cars, send him a message telling him his life is now exposed on you tube and see how he likes it.
