FedEx Freight | NEW Kenworth T660 tractors.

Out here the snow blows onto the dock. Then it gets slippery. Should see the forklifts try to get traction. We have chains for the 'lifts'.
Let me get a show of hands for what a pain in the !@$ it is to maneuver when the dock SWEATS!!!??? How bout it?! Anyone feelin' me? Snow you can sweep off, scrape a little. Sweat won't do nothing but pi$$ you off! Throw down 500lb of kitty litter - you still can't move. Next day you can't breath because now the dock is dry and the kitty litter is a thick fog.

Nice looking trucks, finally their buying something for us tall guys out west, maybe my knees will last for a few more years before surgery.

Well at least they are not making Sterling trucks anymore.
Eventually Conway will have to buy Cascadia day cabs.
Or maybe a Mack truck.

I agree. Even our newer trucks leave a lot to be desired. Those are the nicest LTL tractors I've seen. Love the dash - probably looks great at night.

Someone sent this to me because they didn't know how to post it, click to make it bigger:

Now, I also notice that these trucks do not have a deck plate behind the cab to stand on, or to lay the air lines on. The muffler is exposed between the frame rails. between the back of cab and the 5th wheel.

:shift:

No deck plate, we've never had them except on the old, old, old Arkansas Freightways trucks we got used. The air lines have to be secured, per company policy. :-)

We always had aluminum deck plates and we never used to secure the airlines till we went to AF rules.

you must drive on the flats... to be driving with the cruise on 98% of the time. Not here! and when your driving in the snow I promise you that you will not be on the cruise control!
instead, you would be having the same problem with your foot atop the (throttle) with your leg in pain because you have to hover over the (throttle). You have to have lite pressure on the (throttle):clap:to making sure you don't spin your wheels! Like I said I wish they would go back to the old (throttle) for that reason!:shift::clap:

Hey Guys try a piece of wood about 1 an half inches to two inches thick or so in front of the pedal to raise your heal. You wont have to hover anymore.

At night you can dim the dash lights.
Otherwise they are very bright, compared to day use for odometer and engine hour digital reader and outside air temp readout.
The one thing you can't dim is the real bright green lights on the toggle switches for the cruise and the jake brake.
But you learn to live with it.
Also the dash does not collect the dirt like the older models and needs very little maintenance.

These throttle pedals are only there just for looks.
They are not mechanically connected to the engine anymore.
You could have your throttle on the steering wheel or transmission shift knob,
I suppose.

Reminds me of my younger days when I used to drive tractors on the farm. All the throttles were a hand feed up by the steering wheel. Yes, that was a long time ago, yes I still remember those days fondly, and yes, I wish I could do it again.:shift:
