its been over 2 years since vitran has put anything into our retirement plan,yet the company has made nice profits all quarters this year. the ceo and other management has had big money put into their retirement plans this year. why not us if they are making money. arent we suppose to get a company match even how meger that is? something is better that nothing. what do you think?
 
well what do u expect when the company does not fix it's trucks an have trailer break in to 2 pices in Appleton wi????
 
it happen about a 1.5 months ago a linehaul driver made a run from the old greenbay termainl in appleton wi to mil to tom an then back home was about 300 feet from the terminal an the trailer broke in half it was a old pjax trailer loaded with oshkosh truck freight. it was loaded with about 20 thousand pounds. if u see a tom guy ask him. They have been using the old greenbay termianl since july i think just run drop an hook loads at night an some p&d run during the day. Tomah still seens like 3 driver from tomah wi to the fox valley every day. an MIL sends like 2-3 drivers u to greenbay area. I have been away from vitran for 3 months know the grass is green on the other side
 
Off topic: every night I need to wait 2+ hours at a terminal. Is it legal that they do not pay me for this despite mileage (not per run) pay?

its legal they dont pay u for this but u do legally have to log on duty not driving for this as you are waiting for your load so you should be burning up hours of service

70 hour week now. Almost impossible to burn them up. Hitting 63-66 per five days...sigh
 
so from the time you get to work to start waiting for your load until you are actually done the next morning you still arent going over your fourteen?it is amaziing how much they seem to think everyone likes donating there time anymore. im tellin ya though they tell me to be ready at 7 fine im on duty on line 4 at 7 whether they pay me or not come 9 the next morning shut the truck down and tell them they can come get me

nah only in bad weather my 14 is threatened . i have a 602 mile run that goes pretty smooth most times . i think all but 3 times last year i finished the run
