Yellow | Where is shareholders outrage??

There aren't any?

I've wondered this myself. Why aren't the stock holders demanding this idiot's resignation? Are they stupid or what?

I bet a lot of the stock holders dumped their stock back at the beginning of 07 or when the purchase first took place and stock was at $54... I know I dumped everything I had in the company back at the beginning of 07... :D $35/share is a lot better than what those still carrying have now... :)

"Where is shareholders outrage??"
no outrage there at all. the big players jumped before it sank or shorted because they had the inside scoop. the people who had a lot of money to lose scatted out leaving sporatic, diverse common shares.
this stuff is controlled like the economy itself.like the recession itself is engineered and controlled.

Unfortunately, with Bill's golden parachute, it's cheaper to keep him than dump him. Maybe he can do us all a favor and save us this parachute money by dropping dead!!

******* methods - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I sent this link to his company email:nutkick: much better for teamster morale. I think he should be kept around to visit every terminal and clean the toilets with his tooth brush (all terminals will get a warning so they can prepare the bathrooms) that way he can't collect the golden parachute.

Why would there be any outrage? Think about it, almost complete control of the union ,soon as we lose our pensions and are making less than everybody else all the mgt. and shareholders will look at Doller Bill as a genius & national hero.Seems to me the week economy has only helped Him to do what alot of them have been trying to do for years.Break our balls & make us work for nothing.:ranting2::ranting2:if we make it thru this B.S. Dollar Bill will be the crown Prince of the corporate worldshit

Excellent article Sumo - and from my seat, this is very indicative of what goes on at corporate. I'm one of the non-union working stiffs at the GO - and this attitude permeates every corner of this company. It's not just Zollars who is ruining this company. YRC hired a bunch of young idiots the past several years with MBA's and JD's who know nothing about trucking and they've run the company into the ground. Management is rife with idiots who have no clue what they are doing and no clue what the people they supervise are doing. I can do the best job in the world and the unfortunate part of that is my manager, his director, the VP over that guy, and all up the ladder are too stupid to know if I'm doing a good job or a bad job since they don't know what it is exactly that I do! Our legal department is full of lawyers making over $100k per year who haven't a clue what they're are doing - other than running up huge expense accounts at the company expense. Word is that a VP in legal took a trip to China with his wifey and ran up $17,000 on an expense bill for the trip. His boss is the General Counsel (Dan Churay) and one of Zollars lieutentant's and also is over both EthicsPoint and Internal Audit - so it really doesn't get you anywhere to blow the whistle on this BS cause the guy who signed off on this jerkoff's expense account is the guy who should be minding the store in the first place! In fact, he's the idiot who hired his little buddy from the lawyer's club. It is these idiots who have run the company into the ground. In my department, there is no disagreeing with the boss - dissenting ideas are not welcomed and those who have dissented are no longer with the company - some of the finest and most dedicated people I've ever worked with. They've outsourced our billing, cash applications, cargo claims and other functions to India which has resulted in further alienating our customer base. The people who know what they're doing and do their jobs the best get laid off because they are a threat to management - THEY know that their manager doesn't know what the f*** he/she is doing. Most of us here at the GO know that you guys on the docks and in the trucks are what make this company run and generate the revenue. We're feeling the pain too with no more 401(k) and with the 10% paycut we took which has been made permanent. I'm not sure if it's better or not that we don't get to vote on an additional 5% and sympathize with you guys for the tough choice you're having to make. Most of us are looking for employment elsewhere. I've got 23 years experience in my job - and they keep taking away projects from me and giving them to someone in another department who will not do as good a job and at triple the price. Most of us here see that the ship is sinking and we're looking for any flotsam to hold on to! Best of luck to all - regardless of the outcome of the vote or what the next few months bring.

You hit the nail on the head with "Young idiots". From legal to the multitude of industrial engineers who come in and create routes while scoffing at experienced truckers advice and input. All the way down to the local level where many experienced sups got the broom to save a few bucks and now they have cheap help who have no clue what they're doing.
Also , it is true any management with a "dissenting" opinion is looked at as a trouble maker not just in G.O. but at the local level as well. Not open to different opininons, just a "do what you're told mentality". The culture of management in this company is what ruined these historic trucking companies.

Very good post. This is from someone who really sees what the GO is doing. Also you can tell he really wants to keep his job. This is sad when you know your bosses are screwing the monkey and you can't fix it or you will be fired.
