Many have already had these meetings starting this last Monday.
You will see 2 videos lasting about 1 hour.
Actually the videos are very informative, so you should pay attention
to see what has happened and what will happen in the near future.
Very well worth the time.
I hope you enjoy it.

O I will go and I always pay attention but I just hate biting my tongue all the time because they dont want to hear the reality of how screwed up our CCM has this center. I have seen what happens when a driver speaks up about the ligitimate problems that occur an a daily basis and how concerned they try to act but the bottom line is they couldnt care less. It just sucks that they wont listen and try to fix whats broke because it really wouldnt be that difficult to make it a graet place to work and hell Uncle Fred would even make more $ because our customers would be a lot happier too.

Actually in the video, they ask for and encourage
suggestions from all FedEx Freight members.
The problem is we all have at least one or two great suggestions.
When you multiply that by the amount of employees we have
you can see that they can't implement everyone's ideas.
We thought that Viking had a great business model that
was refined over the last 40 years or so.
But it turns out our West business model was day and night
different from what we are doing now.
They claim this AF/Conway business model is better and they call the shots.

And the truth is that they really don't want to hear any constructive criticism, especially from old Vikings. Speaking of old Vikings, anyone else that's been around for awhile feel like their uniform shirts have targets on them only visible to management?

meeting

Yes, were going in early this morning for a meeting. I heard from a big D driver that their going to tell us that their not going to merge us and National together.

I guess I''l see for myself soon.:shift:

.

What a waste of time. Put dispatch and the rest of the operation under the gun for the rest of the day.

Rah rah, f*cking rah. I've heard this stuff over and over and over. They no more want input from the rabble than they did before. Can you say dog & pony show?

Look, they know what will work and that is that. They've destroyed the line haul system to the point where local drivers will now have to take up the slack. Meaning start times well into the afternoon.

The tout this 50/10 thing like it's possible, (and believe me, they will reach their goal, truthfully or not), then gauge everything on lbs per hour. They don't get that you can't have less damage and lbs at the same time. I don't care how much training you give people, if they don't have the time to do it right, they won't do it right.

They are banking on Yellow tanking. And soon.

One thing the videos let us know is just how many chiefs we have. In the second video, there are like 6 people all saying the same thing making more money in the time it took to do the video than the roomful of workers who watched them kissing each other's a*ss in a month.

"Hard decisions that had to be made". Heard that like 3 times. I'm sure they lost sleep as they were wrecking people's lives. "Employee engagement". Please. That's about important to them as "diversity". I still don't know what "diversity" is. If it's listening to everyone's input then ignoring it and careen down a pre-chosen path anyway, then they've become "diverse".

Make sure you have our anti-U helmet on.

Nothing pumps me up more than seeing highly paid executives tell me how important I am to them. Then I think of all my buds whose lives have been upended and are now more dock worker than driver, or who are simply not around at all anymore. For really no good reason except for a stupid hub and spoke model and purchased transportation then wonder why they don't have enough drivers to move the "extra tonnage" in the system.

Waste of time and no new information that we haven't already heard. Yellow's going out of business. We got rid of a lot of people. Change for change sake. We love you. Sell. We have plans. We love you. Sell. You're our most important asset next to recaps. Positioning. Take lots of time at stops to sell, you have nothing better to do. We love you. Save fuel. Drive around in circles because we won't look at the routing because we need lbs per hour. And gosh darn it, we love you. No Union. Is my limo here yet?

Franklin you know the rules on Union discussion in non union forums

listen up .... its going to be the way fedex wants it ......

Oh I know it. Just don't pretend to want my input or that what I think matters. We know you don't care, just be adult about it.

Look at it this way... Money for nothing.

Between this and the log book test, we're talking nearly 4 extra hours.

That ought to "stimulate" you

My sentiments exactly Franklin! Amen.

change change is good but when you ask will they go to one board suddenly we can;t change toooo much trouble keep getting rid of long time personnel saves money right but we can change every thing else

watched the vidieo this morning, very imformative on which direction they want to go,hopefully they are being truthful about calling peple back to work, and i think they are right about certain, ltl carriers, although hate to see it, are we really ahead of the rest in, on time service, this intermodel thing has been in the works for i know at least five years, as for long distance hauling and reducing damage, i say get rid of purchase transpertation, i think this is just wrong period, but they are here to stay. be engaged be engaged, reed is a winner, well despite what they say, i for one am going to try to stay positive, tired of all the negativity, fed ex is going to do what they are going to do, hope you all enjoy the movie, get some popcorn before you sit down

Saw the movie today, nothing to call home about. They just want more out of us. One of them mention getting JOM. Talk about being out of touch, were lucky to get anything from our customers. I'll take the attitude my coworkers have, when they come a cross big time for the employees I will reengage myself.

We saw the same video here at National, plus another by our people. I figure they paid 5000 employees 1.5 hours to tell us what a great company we work for. That works out to about a $150,000.00 cheerleading session. They told us we should have a want to attitude about coming to work, not a have to.
