I have a kind of warm fuzzy feeling that things are turning around freight wise , although it is not what it was I think it has picked up alittle ? seattle just released like a 100 more trailers into there pool - thats good right?:USA:
 
Yea I am getting a little happier because the freight has picked up, but then I bring myself down to Earth and remember that winter is comming very quickly.

What are they going to do with those 100 trailers??
Put them on the rail going to SBO, so they don't have to show
empty miles???????/
Or they could be old trailers to be sold. :biglaugh::biglaugh:

Things have picked up a little at some centers but the overall level is still down. Never will we see the levels we did 2, 3,4 or 5 years ago.Those times are over. to many little trucking companies undercutting the bigger companies.

Of course they just put 100 trailers back into the pool.
Remember 50 / 10? They need to put those trailers back into the pool so that they can have the markings stripped and then the trailers can be sold. The real meaning of 50 / 10 is that by 2010 50% of our freight will be on PT and they have to get rid of those trailers to make it look like there is no other way to move the freight.

Ouch!!!! :nutkick: When I worked at fredex PT was always a big concern, in Ft. Smith they were running Little Rock to Bosie, then they started bringing freight back to LIT, guys threw a fit and PT was slowed and guys started to work, guess them days are over.


Its sad fredex could be the best place to work in the world if upper mgmt. would have a bit of respect, also middle and lower mgmt., same goes for them, if everyone @ fredex worked together they couldn't be beat, but the mgmt., against employee stuff doesn't get the mustard cut, same deal as when I worked there.
 
We have seen a weekly/monthly increase with positive trends in our region now for the last 4 months.. Definately nothing like it once was, but getting there.. and with higher shipment count, not volume. I have seen it come and go enough in my career to know to be patient.. At least now I can get a vacation day when I want one.

Besides, things can't be getting better because Obama isn't an American and is destroying the world.

All is good GT.. Trying to weather the storm.. looks like the worst is behind us now.. Finally got a daytime gig with no traveling.. Just been working and spending time with the little one.

Its all good, after my divorce I got to spend alot of time with my little ones, now that school is back in I can't even get close to seeing them, it sucks but thats trucking, food, freight, OTR, its all the same, nothing is predictable, glad you don't have to travel!! I bet thats alot better for you!! Very glad to see you back here!!!!

As you can see I'm not the only one happy to see you!! :clap:
