Estes | New Trucks?

Looks like they haven't learned there lesson with the maxxforce they have some new prostars I have only seen tandems don't knowif there is any single axles but the 2 drivers I have talked with say they are not bad trucks but do say they don't pull and they have the collision avoidance system on them and they don't like that and only 64 mph so good luck guys.

They're getting approx 7mpg with those 75mph paccar motors that have no problem keeping a driver alert, responsive and happy.

Yeah at Cooper we can't run over 70 now I've been wrote up and had to take speed and space management classes

Over 70 for a minute just puts a popup on the screen. No biggie. Average over 65 mph for the entire run then you'll get written up. Don't ask how I know this. :27:

Saw some Freightliner Columbia's (not Cascadia's) on lowboys, headed South on 85 the other day. I figured they were Gliders maybe? They didn't have wheels on them
Also saw a new Volvo daycab going up the road.
Looks like Estes is trying out some different stuff?

Yeah, and the satellite terminals are still driving trucks with over a million on them.... Go to any break terminal and you can see.. I remember years ago, Junior came out with a "it's the law" memo that read "All satellite terminals with no shops will be equipped with new trucks".. Well, that didn't last until the ink got dry....

Our terminal has a Volvo. Real nice truck. We've also got about 6 KWs. Those are just amazing vehicles.

I think the experiment is over though. Aside from the gliders, I hear it'll all be International ProStars from here on out. It was nice while it lasted.

Yeah. Chicago has several new kenworths. This photo was taken April 15th. I think there were about 10 of them . All single axles.
