Yellow | Something big happening Monday?

TM at Bax/548 has been a nervous wreck the past week, Bax is the yellow terminal, 548 is the old Joplin mo Roadway terminal. Joplin 548 did not have an in house tm the last five years we operated before the 03/01/09 merger with the yellow/Bax barn, ran a good O.R. with out an in house cheese eater, Bax boss might be next at this 22 bid terminal.

We also heard that the whole network is being "re=engineered" and that there will be more terminal closings/mergers and some freight flows may change possibly causing breakbulks to downsize or close. Look for a possible major change of ops!:Flame-On:

Think Chicago will be involved?

I'm layed off effective Monday at Manassas Virginia (149). The C.O.O. in March was ::shit::. All 4 of us drivers that transfered there are now unemployed! I've got 16 years and made a big mistake going there. The terminal manager there is a rude, unprofessional, liar that can kiss my :eck13:!!!!

I heard tonight that CGW/304 layed off a few guys they had called back.
Rumor was they lost *******. A HUGE account for that barn.
Word I heard ,is that they pulled out because they weren't comfortable with the company, and going into thier busiest season they didn't want thier freight held hostage.

431 is Memphis. I believe Taylor made hit an extra key on the 315 being laid off. I'm from Holland, I was over at the YRC barn the other day and it appeared to be very busy. Consolidating these 2 monster barns into 1, OMG what a cluster ----. I've got to hand it to these guys, they seemed to have pulled it off.

It's true Grizz! I cant believe it to. We as told that yesterday. They pull the bids down and change it from 332 bids to 285. With everybody working we pulling it off, but when they start laying people off like they been, they get behind. That what you seen what you did. There behind now and only offering the laid off guys 3 days (fri, sat, sun) and calling the guys on there 6 and 7 day. That's not right!!!!!!:Flame-On:

Ok Taylor made I'm following you know. I was told Friday that your bids were already up and thought that was maybe a week early. Now we know why, more layoffs. That sucks. I wouldn't doubt that we (Holland) didn't get a layoff Friday also. PS I hit the Ping myself. GRIZZ

only thing I have heard from office people is that there is to be another thinning of the herd Monday (non union office people on the chopping block...)

:smilies-19296:

Okc/531 is cutting 10 % no matter what freight levels are From higher ups
Amazing How a company can be run from a office in KC/Akron and someone can make a BLANKET decision on the whole company.
I thought we hired Managers to Manage the company not be Monkey to just follow orders.
Highest paid monkey I have ever seen.

309 linehaul driver, I havent worked in more than 3 weeks. A layoff would at least remove the uncertainty about weather to start looking or not
