XPO | Can anyone tell me what this is ?

Super singles Suck they cost me a job I had one go down and I went into a curve at 55 the road was a little wet not bad though and I ended up in the ditch If they go to them I hope that it is after I retire.
Bad tracton in the snow rain or wind heven forbid that you don't get in a grove in the road with water in it you will be all over the place

Hey, maybe local in non-weather areas but I can not see having to chain those big ugly turds. I could see where they would suck in the snow and well, don't want to find out.

They were branding a couple of sets of Truckload pups in Joplin a while back, for a dedicated route out of the Michael's DC in Hazleton, PA. I'm not sure in which neck of the woods you guys are spotting them (not familiar with the abbreviations), but I'd bet it's within a few hundred miles of there.

The only issue I have with the super singles is a problem that was mentioned earlier. If you get a flat, there may not be a shop nearby with replacements in stock. This happened to me a few years ago and it took all night for a guy to show up and get me rolling again. I think that the tire shops are stocking more super singles now though, as it seems that most of the big tanker and flatbed outfits are switching over.

I haven't encountered any traction issues beyond those that I had with duals, but I guess different people have different driving styles. The 40 pound snow chains are beasts, but I've never actually used them. I prefer to shut down before it gets to that point.
