I still cant believe there is actually a discussion about this, and am amazed its went on to more than one page. Stray racoons? This is 2009, recently someone has invented something called a garbage can. Whats even better, they have locking lids on them, critter free! Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Went camping, had sealed ice chest with goodies in it on the picnic table. Next day the goodies were gone and behind were little pitty patter foot prints. That night my son put a big rock on the top and said if they can get that off, they can have it! And then the dog got sprayed by a skunk. Another story!

You forgot the 4th option in your poll. Should have been "move out of this stupid town and quit getting ripped off for my trash bill"

I'd put it in the dumpster if it were me...
 
I have three an ODOT backhoe, school buses and a new police cruiser in my back yard and am parting them out on ebay. I figure I paid for them so why not?

I get whacked for between $500 or $600 per week in taxes and still pay for trash removal while the dirt balls I pay for up the street don't??
