the drivers in south bend won a grievence on the 25% rule and finally got paid. sounds good so far, but they still managed to screw us by paying at the 85% rate for grievences when we were at full scale and to make matters worse they added this grievence money to a 5 day check so we got killed in taxes. anyone else get the same treatment or did your payment come on a seperate check? i have to give them credit they must stay up nights figuring out new and inventive ways to screw us.

Any road grievance that was paid to me was always on my regular pay check, it didn't matter if it was 5 or 6 days. I was just happy to get the dam thing.

The grievances won in Des Moines that were prior to the giveback had to be paid at the full rate. Anything after that is subject to the current concession agreement.

Monies won in a grievance are paid out just like wages and are subject to taxes. They are not a bonus. Sucks i know but it's always been that way.

If they paid at the 85% for a settlement then that is all wrong and needs to be looked into by your steward or BA. Make sure you do this in a timely manner. If anyone needs info on how to file these properly or what language to use, PM me and I'll be glad to help.

Is it any different from the way they pay your vacation time, time that was earned at FULL rate and then paid at 90% then if you hadn't used it it was paid at 85% while others who were lucky enough the get there vacations early were paid at the full rate :ranting2: something stinks:nutkick:

YRC always has a way to screw the men back. What until the 18 month pension period is over then we will all get a royal screw job, just wait and see Brothers.:ranting2::Flame-On:

The question is will the union leadership hold our hair while the members get screwed

Sarcastic you missed something in the long road of life to ask a question like that one. Hoffa Jr. will not only hold us by OUR hair, but also, have Tyson (not family friendly) us alot more. Hoffa and his Union entourage have got to go and we all have to do it, pronto. We need new leadership in our once strong and great Union. :ranting2::Flame-On:

Remember men when you go to the 4th week your rate of pay goes down whether you are city or road it's contract, what I've learned about this 15% is figure it at full rate and then figure the 15% out!
