Yellow | What green initiatives are under way at YRC Worldwide?

No disrespect Jeff but who cares!! All this green crap is just that, CRAP!
Global warming, What a frekin joke!!!

Oh I know the gobal warming stuff is horseshit but hey, its news and thats what I do... News:clap:

never mind global warming

Get out of your caves once in a while folks. Never mind global warming. You can debate global warming at another time. The initiatives being created are opportunities for anyone who touts capitalism. People are investing in the new tires, and companies who are working on hybrids (both areas mentioned in the article). Does anyone read the information they are given by their public water utilities? Some of you don't have public water systems and that's ok. I get a detailed report on the levels of certain chemicals, toxins and basic contaminants. My water resource is Lake Erie. Lake Erie has certain contaminants that are hazardous to my health. Personally I have been contaminated by Lake Erie for a long time. This isn't about me. I am concerned for my off spring and their off spring. Finding ways to keep the contaminants at a minimum is a relatively small sacrifice I don't mind making. The only people I know who are against these initiatives are Corporate goons and persons who are ignorant of the facts. I won't mention streams and rivers. I have an idea ... if you don't like the initiatives you can always move to a country who doesn't care one way or the other ... like China. The people in China are going to be very healthy some day with all the pollution there. Everyone has a right to their opinion, of course, and this is mine.

I think that YRC has bigger issues to worry about than their environmental footprint at this time. I think you all know what I'm talking about too!

Global Warming is a big topic usually mentioned a lot in the month of April. Go figure. I guess noone ever heard of the season called Spring. YRC's Green Days are usually on Thursdays. The Green Initiatives are when money we earn go 2 ways. In the unions pocket and back to YRC's pocket. For the rest of the $, we have to file grievences for shortages of pay on our paychecks.

Supermac you mention the yrc footprint. You can see them everywhere on the chests and backs of all the Chicagoland employees. I believe it's yrc footprints on their fronts and Tyson and Mr. Whitepaper's on thier backs.

THREE ways. You forgot to mention this happens after the Government gets 1/3 of our earnings first.....

WD, you're playing the (blank) is against clean air, clean water trick. Never is/was/or will be true. Just because someone is against spending billions of public dollars to make something 1/100th of 1% more clean, doesn't mean they are against clean water.......

In YRC's case-- the corporate office seems to believe some of their customers believe "green" is important-- regardless of the facts that now prove the whole idea of global warming is the biggest hoax ever prepetrated on America..... Like the others said-- YRC has no money to spend on Anything. But they do anyway. Kind of like the Government without a printing press.....

I mentioned earlier that YRC is worried about their environmental footprint well they are well on their way to being the greenest ltl company when not a single tractor or any piece of YRC's equipment is running.

What green initiatives are under way at YRC Worldwide? YRC Worldwide
Here's something GREEN for YRCW

This is aweful... but what is YRC and Teamsters doing to move in the green direction? How about taking thousands of diesel burning trucks off of the road... they seem to be working hard on that one...

I glow in the dark

Me personally, I hope like hell global warming is true (I live in buffalo), as far as green goes, do any of you older guys remember what this country (and Lake Erie) was like in the60s and 70s? What a cesspool, remember the crying Indian commercial? I say we’ve come a long way. Russia, India, and china pollute more in a year than we ever did, there’s almost 3 billion reasons right there that I don’t worry about hugging trees. Here in buffalo and Niagara falls we’ve got more radioactive hot spots from the Manhattan project than you can count, that and the love canal disaster. Me worry about green?

What green initiatives are under way at YRC Worldwide? The only green initiative I see is YRC removing green from our wallets! We can all be proud that we are leading example in the industry....thank you YRC!

Well Green initiatives are just another way for politicians and tree huggers to bilk the working man taxpayers out of thier money. Its all a lie-there is no such thing as global warming and any politician that supports it needs to go the way of extinction before it gets carried away to far.
